I found the RCDB entry for the triple corkscrew coaster: http://rcdb.com/12207.htm

This was not the first ride to have three corkscrews in a row. Arrow actually made a ride with a triple corkscrew a while back. Obviously it was much better and more innovative than anything the China Workers could build...

I don't think t's the same as the one in the previous page. The exit of the corkscrews of this one is fine. The entrance, however...

Yes it is the same one. The location on this page's photos is Zhipao's test yard. They moved it to the buyer's park and changed to four car trains.

That looks absolutely terrifying. I would love to see a POV of that but would feel bad for the poor sap who has to film it.

Well, there is always the option of a mounted camera. But yes, it looks terrifying indeed! One thing that boggles my mind is why are they copying a coaster style from the 70's/80's? I can understand that B&M style track can be tricky to manufacture, but why not copy something at least a little more modern??

I think it's so cool they run their star flyers seatless.

They really think outside the box over in that country.

I'm guessing they will simply hang the riders by their ankles?

Wow, so they modified the last corkscrew in between?

Normal looking.

Flattened and weird exit.

Not very sure, the support and the last Corkscrew does look different. But the prototype was said to have a lot of modifications so this might be one of the results. The first drop's shape also looks different.

Triple Corkscrews are not a bad idea. Arrow installed Triple Corkscrews on a coaster that is still operating quite well. It BECOMES a bad idea when you have to flatten the last corkscrew to prevent the too-short train from stalling.

One thing I don't understand is, why can these companies survive in China? This is already some major design failure but the park isn't asking for refund or sue them at all! Seems like KumbaK completely lost their business in full coaster design because of Vliegende Hollander's flaws, I really wish we can trade this company's bankruptcy for KumbaK's second chance.

It's called Planned Economy. This is due to the country's communist government. This regime requires the companies to stay in business no matter what.

^ It's not like that. Zhipao isn't owned by the government so they are on their own. Zhongye on the other hand, is the only one applies to the case you described.

Parks just don't realize how serious design flaws can be. They chose to tolerate instead of fight for their legal right so bad companies would always stay bad.

Hey

Just had a quick look back at what i missed in this thread while I was away and there's a bit of misinformation a few pages back.

The coaster with the crazy corkscrew exit is not the triple corkscrew coaster. It is a separate coaster with only 4 inversions

Triple Corkscrew Coaster is at Elm Creek Park in Yulin

And the crazy corkscrew exit is at Taolin Happy World

Both are built by Zhipao though.

Especially in the second picture, that is a really demented loop. It looks really painful. Actually, the entire coaster looks really painful, both of them.

Sorry for the misleading info guys, I really think I need to do some research about this company. Right now all I know is a bunch of people from Zhongye formed this company and made horrible coasters. That loops, that pre-drop, that turn before the corkscrews

It would be really interesting to ride one of these coasters. Everything look so messed up and poorly designed but I would definitely try it out if I'm close to one of them.

The line at the upper right of the second photo actually says "Zhipao rides are the best in the world". Seriously...

The second one is really messed. From the back to back loops that sort of look like a batwing with a different entrance and exit. To the non-banked turn after the loops, and then the weird corkscrews. I am just glad the engineers are a little better with the mainstream companies (Arrow, B&M, etc)
