I really hope they make it.

It landed safely. YAY!!!!

But which runway? It looked like they came down over the 405--so it's probably 7/25. But I can't tell for sure looking at the pictures.

The pilots and inflight crew RULED! I was so scared watching it, hoping it wouldn't just nose dive into the tarmac. What a crew!

Well that was dissapointing.

JK.

It was handled well, and everyone is safe. I thought the sparks might light the wings on fire because they might of had fuel on them from dumping.

They said 25L on MSNBC.

Cool, thanks.

Being an aviation geek (wanna see my FAA ground school completion certificate?), I was curious. I'm glad my hunch was right.

I watched it from when they interrupted the Rita: Queen of Hurricanes coverage, until it landed (except for a like 20 minute period where I went to McDonalds) and that guy who worked for NBC-Universal said that it was the smoothest landing he has ever had on a plane. lol well, Im glad it turned out well, and the gear didn't collapse!

Yeah, but I don't think I would have liked to sit on that plane for 11 minutes after it landed...plus I would have been pissed to go through an emergency landing and not get to use the damn slides!

LOL^ from like 6:45 to like 9:45 there was a Jetblue plane that had it's landing gear turned 90 degrees from where it was supposed to be, so it was going to burn up its fuel and make an emergency landing at LAX, and did, and everything turned out ok!

Yeah, all that and no slide credit.

Yeah. I remember reading a story about this one guy who had a Cessna Caravan Amphibian, and he'd land on a lake, and slide down the escape slide in his bathing suit...do Caravan Amphibians even have escape slides?

Yeah, I agree, I would have wanted to slide!!!

Since JetBlue began it's Flight Operations, everything I've read or heard about this Airline has been very positive.

Eventhough I personally have never had the occasion to fly with JetBlue, I would eagerly do so.

It doesn't surprise me that their flight crew handled this situation with distinction.

I imagine that the owners of JetBlue are going to take very good care of those passangers, for all they had to go thru.

This is a first rate, very well run, Airline.

I don't know if anyone else posted about this, but the same thing happened in china a week ago.
