Park spokesman Robin Innes said Tuesday he could neither confirm or deny speculation that Cedar Point's White Water Landing, a log flume ride, was for sale or being removed from the park. Innes said the water ride is currently operating.

I don’t know about anyone else, but if White Water Landing is removed I would be very sad. I think of it as one of the best log flume rides ever constructed.

I don’t care about the Demon Drop anymore, but please keep White Water Landing.

Where’s the petition to save this ride?

Wow, that would mean that only Thunder Canyon and Snake River would remain as water rides. Call me silly, but I don't like getting submerged on my water rides. I just want to cool off.

Cedar Point needs a real log flume!

Especially if it’s nasty ass water pumped from Lake Erie.

I worked a summer at Thunder Canyon. And let me tell you… I would not miss that ride at all if it went away. Too many bad memories of cleaning decapitated rabbits before filling the flume in the morning.

As for Snake River Falls… that’s where the hotties worked. Aww… kitty, kitty!

We enjoyed this ride when we were there the last time. I agree that Thunder Canyon is NOT FUN. I rode it once. Once. 1986. Poured water out of my purse. My clothes finally dried out about 9 o'clock that night..... Never again.

I love log flumes, and Robb's right, they are a classic family ride. I was so happy when PKI revitalized theirs with the Wild Thornberry's theme.

I actually liked Thunder Canyon, well until SFGAm re-routed there river water ride. But I liked it because it was long and it had difernt elements in it and it was fun. After 2002, i havent rode water rides at CP because I would rather ride a bunch of rides more than once than to take time out and do water rides, show, sit-down resturants, ect...

But still White Water Landing was a cool log ride, it had building and lots of trees and jumped up and down while gliding when it hit the water.

That looks like an Arrow Hydro Flume (like Jet Stream at SFMM). If so, does this ride still have the little hump at the bottom of the drop or have they been removed like on Jet Stream?

I agree with most, they shouldn't remove a flume ride. Most likely they're clearing room for their next coaster.

Oh yee of little faith, there will be another water ride to replace it, count my words.

The building has been gone for three years now, it completely collapsed a during the offseason.

Waveswinger is going to be moving as well and Antique cars will also be going the way of the dinosaur.

Things will be changing considerably back in Frontier Town over the next few years.

For those of you interesting...CP's blog today is about an "unexpected delivery" that apparently came in on Tuesday...theres no pictures, and it says it is "off-limits"...it also mentions that it is "something big and blue"

I really dont think its a Screamin Swing but if it is, I'm gonna be really disappointed at CP for all the hype their giving it.

Well, I will be the voice of dissention here. When I was at Cedar Point in July, I looked at the log flume, said "I don't want to get wet" and walked right on by it. *I* would much rather have a shiny new coaster than a water ride. So they can go ahead and rip it out...I don't care so long as it's replaced with something.

Brent,

Which year are you talking about, next year? I'm sure you're aware that they are in fact getting the Swing for '06. Are you talking about the future replacement of WWL?

J "the swing isn't going in that spot" C.
