Jeroen_twee
Today (sunday) there were people working on the project. I saw painters and gardeners. Just a few days untill opening day!
RCT3Bross
I'm not going to lie, it sound very optimistic in my opinion to say this terrain can be completed in 5 work days. But if there was concern we would have heard something by now. I just got to keep faith.
Rill'o'beily
The official Efteling youtube channel uploaded an onride pov: [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
RCT3Bross
Rode it today. Sad to say the ride lost something, the old one had snap to it this one really misses that. That said it does run smoother and the single rider line is a welcome addition. And no, didn't get a nut I wanted to until I saw the line for it, it was crazy so I decided to just take a ride in the Python instead. Today there was a malfunction causing the train to get stuck in the brakes. I had to be the one to ride it at that time. O well never had that happen before and its a welcome experience to have I say. To bad we didn't evacuate would like to experience that also. Edit some pictures from today: During the malfunction From earlier that day
JordyC
^I was in the queue when it broke down and got stuck on the brake run. I had the next train.. Anyway, if anyone is interested here are my thoughts of Python 2.0.
RCT3Bross
^ Well kind of wierd how we both share an experience from two sides without ever meeting one other. Just shows how things can be. I promise you, you had the better spot for sure, afer a while not being able to move freely really got to me. Lucky it didn't last to long. Nrthwnd
^^^ That was fun to watch. Would have loved to have understood what they were saying. Probably even more outrageous information about how "Baby can ride Python"..... p.s. I found no subtitles on that video. Hence my inability to understand what was being said. Jeroen_twee
Just use the subtitles button. It's the one left of the settings button. In the settings menu you can change the language.
Jeroen_twee
The Raveleijn show has a few changes. The fights were changed, and there is a new fight on the roof of the gate. I filmed it from two locations: to the right on one of the first rows, and on the left on one of the back rows. Left side: Right side:
KarlaKoaster
Really nice videos. Raveleijn is just about one of my favourite theme park shows in the world, and I even include Disney in that comparison. It's such a cool mix of stunts, special effects and is visually stunning
JooordiW
Update about the new coaster: According to looopings.nl the new launch coaster will be for the whole family, so no big thrill ride. The launch roller coaster does not go over the head. Moreover, the pace is relatively low. Perfect coaster for the whole family
JordyC
Efteling adds single rider-row to Joris & de Draak Joris & de Draak will be the fifth Efteling attraction with a single riders row. The wooden roller coaster will be closed for a refurbishment from Monday 7th to Friday 25th May. A single riders row will also be added during this period. This is confirmed by a spokeswoman from the Efteling. Previously, Bob, Baron 1898, Symbolica and Python already had such a separate row. Since last summer, Joris & de Draak also has assigned seating on busy days. Source

JordyC
This will be the theme of the new roller coaster in the Efteling A Dutch theme park website, Looopings, revealed which theme the new roller coaster of the Efteling will have. The theme park is planning to open a spectacular new rollercoaster in 2020. That attraction is all about the circus theme. It will be a cheerful family attraction with various varied elements, including a launch and a lift hill. The roller coaster will be located on a piece of land to the east of the current park. That new area - in the neighborhood of Vogel Rok and the Efteling Hotel - will soon be included in the existing Reizenrijk. A large circus tent will be built in the Efteling. The roller coaster is largely located around it. More details about the theme are not yet known. The rollercoaster is built by the Swiss manufacturer Intamin. There will be no inversions. The Efteling does not want to confirm the message yet. "We like that our plans for the future are so well talked about, but we can not say anything about it ourselves", a spokeswoman responds. The theme park does not yet have the necessary permits to build. "We have plans, but they have not yet been finally approved, and unfortunately there is little to say about this project until then." cal1br3tto
^Creepy-cool. Knowing the quality of theming we can expect, this intrigues me a lot. The ride itself seems interesting, too. I'll add Efteling to my growing "I will no longer feel bad about not visiting this park this year or in 2019" list.
Nrthwnd
Hmmm. David and I are planning a 2022 visit to Amsterdam, Paris and Disney. And I was (maybe) going back to Walibi Holland, or add Toverland to the same schedule. But now, after seeing this.... Hmmm. More to add for more fun, while we're in The Netherlands! Heth
I'm glad they're planning on wedding a new coaster but I must admit a circus theme doesn't excite me much. I worry it might be a little bit tacky.
Baffles
Efteling doesn't know the meaning of tacky - it's one of the most beautifully themed parks in the world. I doubt they would screw that up.

Don't get me wrong, I love the park, but Carnaval Festival is a bit tacky. Carnaval Festival is indeed a bit strange, CF was invented by someone outside the Efteling at the time. A director known in the Netherlands came up with the idea, his name is Joop Geesink. He designed the attraction, clearly inspired by It's a Small World. Many fans are a bit ashamed of the attraction, but removal the ride is a waste, it's incredibly popular. About the circus theme: Anton Pieck was a big fan of the circus, so why not build an ride with the same theme? Knowing the Efteling is not just a circus tent, probably it will again be a unique and surprising attraction of high quality!
