SharkTums Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 (edited) Most of you should know by now how I LOVE bad Sci-Fi!!!! Tonight we should have a pretty awesome premier on the SyFy Channel. It's brought to you by The Asylum. The Asylum only makes amazing quality SyFy movies and ripoffs of current blockbusters! Judging from the reviews of the REAL Battleship movie, most of which liken it to an Asylum movie, we could have a real winner on our hands tonight! So join me in chat tonight (9pm Eastern Time) if you will and we'll check out the awesomeness that is... American Warships! *Oh yeah, did I mention they did actually get sued on this one and had to change the title to American Warships instead of American Battleship!!!!?!?! SoCalCoasters Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 ^That may be the most blatant movie ripoff I've ever seen. I'm definitely going to see this!
beatle11 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 So they take a bad movie, and make a bad movie ripoff? Amazing!!!!
Hhappy Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Darn it, i'll have to wait a little longer before i will be able to see this movie.. bummer..
SharkTums Posted May 19, 2012 Author Posted May 19, 2012 ^^No, but I'm fairly certain it will be amazing.
TXman308 Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 I just watched one bad Battleship movie, I don't think I can make it through another.
ernierocker Posted May 19, 2012 Posted May 19, 2012 Apollo Creed is in this, so you know its going to be good! Not to mention the same guy played Chubbs from Happy Gilmore!!!!!
SharkTums Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 ^Like I said, the acting talent in this is on par if not better than the actual Battleship movie!
CoasterKings908 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 I love these SyFy chats, they always make the crazy, boring movies interesting.
SharkTums Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 Five minutes guys! I'm in chat now, come join me!
dandaman Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Break 1. So far: Jets nonchalantly crashing into the sea, Admiral Buzzkill, Koreans speaking English and being subtitled in English.
CoasterKings908 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 This movie is very Klassy. Wonder if it can be even more Klassier...
VinTheAttendant Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 The Asylum should make more movies about bad@$$ explosion museums. This is going great! TPR chat increases the entertainment value of SYFY movies significantly!
SharkTums Posted May 20, 2012 Author Posted May 20, 2012 The ship is still in better shape than the Concordia!
dandaman Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Break 2. So far: Harvey Dent discusses WW3 and EMP's with Apollo Chubbs, who summed it up best: "Nothing makes any goddarned sense."
galindoverhere Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 There's a butt load of commercials during this movie, so might as well keep the forum busy So far the movie is very interesting (sarcasm) especially after the WW3 announcement
QueerRudie Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 A movie so amazing that I'm not even watching it and still enjoying it! Two thumbs way up!
dandaman Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Break 3. So far: Non-stealth stealth ships, VHS tapes/transistor radios/other modern technology, Navy rave party, Alien vs. Harpoon, and another summation by Apollo: "This makes even less sense than anything else."
cfc Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on, but this is an Asylum flick, so it doesn't matter.
CoasterKings908 Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 So the cloaking device could be LCD panels? I guess this movie is also a cheap bootleg version of The Avengers as well.
Lucscs100a Posted May 20, 2012 Posted May 20, 2012 Here in Brazil, Syfy is showing a movie with a bunch of teenagers lost in the woods, with some government plan to destroy them (?)
