Werner Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 Well i've just ridden Mammut, and sure it was my first visit to Tripsdrill. But i still think it kicks ass, and smooth as an Intamin Pre-feb! Check out the TR soon!
cfc Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 ^ I have no idea. Would not mind going back there to check it out.. I wasn't crazy about Mammut, but I'd still go back to Tripsdrill, anyway.
Meteornotes Posted June 8, 2012 Posted June 8, 2012 ^Yeah, Mammut was pretty "meh" but I do really like Tripsdrill. dt
Hhappy Posted June 9, 2012 Author Posted June 9, 2012 Back in 2008 during the europe trip we stopped at Holiday Park. Home to Expedition GeForce. So here's a picture of that visit (and ride)
brisingr25 Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 Awesome photo of Expedition's drop! All pictures in this post are great
ernierocker Posted June 9, 2012 Posted June 9, 2012 (edited) MUST. RIDE. Edited June 9, 2012 by ernierocker
RAWKIN_coaster38 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 LOVE THIS PHOTO> I hope I get a chance to ride this someday!
CoasterKings908 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I'm seriously falling in love with this photo.
cfc Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 BEST RIDE EVER! dt Yep--and an excellent photo of it! TPR's ERT session on this sucker back in 2008 was one of the best ever.
Moose Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 ^agreed, the extra extra extra exclusive ride time was awesome!
Hhappy Posted June 10, 2012 Author Posted June 10, 2012 Let's go back to 2009. Tivoli Gardens was the park and the coaster was Rutschebanen A classic coaster with an amazing amount of airtime as you can see in this picture.
SharkTums Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 This coaster also doesn't have a height restriction. The staff was trying to convince me to bring a two year old KT on the ride...I politely declined! So excited to get back to this part of the world! Looks like we'll be making another TPR Trip there in 2014.
gisco Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 Looks like Big Mike is getting some good air time. Going back in 2014 huh, looks like I know where I'll be that year.
thrillerman1 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 I was sitting next to Mike in the back seat and can vouch that the airtime is not exagerrated. We were being thrown out of our seats the whole time. It was both scary and amazingly awesome. I kept thinking the ride op was going to hit his head on the tunnel roofs. Great photo Hanno!
Moose Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 ^Im glad you said something Mark because the Big man's airtime looked suspicious.
Hhappy Posted June 11, 2012 Author Posted June 11, 2012 Today i have a picture from 2010 for you. At Silver Dollar City there is a coaster called Powder Keg. enjoy
SharkTums Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I love this ride and don't understand why more weren't sold!?!? I can only imagine it must be some sort of maintenance nightmare or something. Very intrigued to ride some of the 'Version 2.0' ones in China!
chadster Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 ^It is. They have trouble keeping the air pressure up in the tanks used for launch and can't run it in the rain as the wheels just sit there and spin. It's basically their #1 item on the most downtime list.
Werner Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Now that the kind of pictures i like! Way to go Hanno
Hhappy Posted June 12, 2012 Author Posted June 12, 2012 Sorry, looks like I will not be able to post a picture today. (only have my phone for Internet acces at this time) But I will try to make up for it tomorrow.
spinning man Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 What powers the launch of powder keg? Great photo by the way. I have it saved on my phone.
