Hhappy Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 Let's go back to 2009. The year Saw - the Ride opened at Thorpe Park. Thinking back, that ride was not that special. the indoor bit was fun/surprising but the rest felt like just another Eurofighter. At least i got to ride it (i guess) anyway, enjoy.
vuurvogel Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 I remember this coaster mostly because I had the OTSR marks still in my shoulders three days later. But I absolutely loved the effect indoors at the first inversion.
cfc Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 "Those poor people will be sliced to ribbons! Hurry, Robin! There isn't a moment to lose!"
Hhappy Posted June 1, 2012 Author Posted June 1, 2012 Efteling is a park a can basically visit whenever i want to (it's a one hour drive) Here's an early morining picture from 2010 during the TPR visit that day. De vliegende Hollander just looks nice in this image (i think) and it does not feel like you are in a theme park.. Hope you like it.
cfc Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 ^I think this ride has the best, most elaborate queue anywhere--beautifully done.
mikeykaise Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I love the whole roller coaster tracking and water ride combo, looks like a very fun ride.
Moose Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 I know I may be in the minority, but I loved this ride, even if part of the theming wasn't working when I rode it. Great pic!
cfc Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 ^I think the ride's fun, too--but the queue was the most impressive part.
RAWKIN_coaster38 Posted June 1, 2012 Posted June 1, 2012 Wow.... your photo impressed me so much I had to look up this coaster. I love the way this combo coaster/water ride is done!
Hhappy Posted June 2, 2012 Author Posted June 2, 2012 Today's update goes back to the year 2010. During the Middle America trip we stopped at Worlds of Fun, home to Prowler. We got a nice backstage tour of Prowler and some nice photo ops. Here's a picture that should give you an idea of the fun and possible photo options during such a tour enjoy Prowler
cfc Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 ^This is Prolwer! Those infidels should be on their knees! I kid, but I do think Prowler is a very good ride.
Meteornotes Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 BOW DOWN BEFORE PROWLER WORTHLESS HUMANS! It actually is a fun ride. And that backstage tour was a lot of fun. Lots of opportunities for great photos, as you see here. dt
Hhappy Posted June 3, 2012 Author Posted June 3, 2012 Back in 2008 i was fortunate enough to visit Coney Island during the East Coast tour. Home to the one and only famous Cyclone I guess even then some folks can't stop using their phone..
cfc Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 "You'll have to speak up! I'm on the freakin' Cyclone! At least the service is great up here!"
simaticable Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 "No, I'm not busy, man. There's just a bunch of random screaming! Yeah, it's like they've never been on a roller coaster before."
CoasterKings908 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 WOW! Well, not sure what to say about that...
RAWKIN_coaster38 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 Wow... srsly dude? And anyone think he kinda looks like Brad Pitt?
Jerrykoala2112 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 I just find it funny that most of the seats are full!
Hhappy Posted June 4, 2012 Author Posted June 4, 2012 In 2010 i was able to revisit (after 10 years) Universal Studios Hollywood. Here's a picture i took during the tram tour.
CoasterKings908 Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 I bet somewhere in the world, Dan is cowering in fear over this picture.
