RideofSteel Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I was browsing RCDB and I found a new coaster by the Beijing jiuhua amusement rides manufacturing company going into Langzhong Panda Paradis. It's listed as a motor launch coaster opening June first. It goes 0-50 in 2.8 seconds. Has anyone heard of this ride? I would be scared to ride this coaster with that Chinese quality. Link: http://rcdb.com/10631.htm
asimowalk Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Going through the other 5 coasters they already have operating according to RCDB, the quality doesn't seem as horrendous as I was expecting. But I'm very concerned finding this on their website: http://www.jiuhuarides.com.cn/product/liste.asp?product_id=209
SharkTums Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 ^According to their page they also did the spinning coaster at Mall of America! Oh China...it would be funny if it wasn't so terrifying!
Ccron10 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 I am assuming that this is the motorbike coaster that they are building: I don't know why, but I am kind of a little suprised that two of the six coasters they have already built are outside of China (Dubai and Argentina).
australianalex Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Oh sweet Jesus A knockoff launch coaster is almost as terrifying as the knockoff 11 inversion coaster.
beatle11 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 Well at least this coaster can't get stuck upside down in a loop. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1092477#p1092477
AnonymousReed Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 They also make suspended coasters..ouch.This too..ouch.
netdvn Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 ^ What the hell is that weird element in the middle of the first picture. This company seems a lot better than the other Beijing company building the Jingling coasters. The motorbike coaster doesn't look too bad (although it'll probably ride worse than it looks).
A.J. Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 That first coaster is not one of theirs, but they'll probably make a knock-off of it. That little suspended coaster is a traveling coaster by the name of "Christmas Coaster". It was produced by Reverchon, and I believe that it inspired the "Inverted Wild Mouse" coaster style that premiered in RCT Loopy Landscapes. Here's a video of it courtesy of UKRides.info; apparently it's not that bad. But, this Chinese company will probably find a way to make it completely worse. Would it be sacrilegious to say that the launched motorbike coaster actually doesn't look half bad?
MrSum1_55 Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 China may be the only place where a No Limits noob can get a job in engineering.
larrygator Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 China may be the only place where a No Limits noob can get a job in engineering. Agreed, they should all move to China immediately.
caffeine_demon Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 They even have a chance chaos knock off! http://www.jiuhuarides.com.cn/product/index15e.asp http://www.jiuhuarides.com.cn/product/liste.asp?product_id=158 and I love the giro drop video http://www.jiuhuarides.com.cn/product/liste.asp?product_id=157 oh - and someone should tell them what a ferris wheel is! http://www.jiuhuarides.com.cn/product/index10e.asp
crazywolf88 Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 ^Apparently they list this under the family and children's section. WTF!?!
RoCo Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 Would it be sacrilegious to say that the launched motorbike coaster actually doesn't look half bad? I had that same thought - that turnaround looks like it might be fun. If the launch doesn't do too much damage to you first.
Nrthwnd Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 oh - and someone should tell them what a ferris wheel is! Probably for the best, if nobody did.
Coaster Cow Posted April 23, 2012 Posted April 23, 2012 ^Apparently they list this under the family and children's section.WTF!?! DUUUUUDE THEY RIPPED OFF A INTERPARK

Oh god, if Intamin managed to make one of their launch coasters spit up shards of cable I hate to think what this could do.
