CoasterFanatic Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 Screaming Swing - 40 Seat Version // Just a guess
jarmor Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 I think its cool how parks are now participating in the speculation and rumor flying thing of it! It strikes more intrest in the park, well I think so...
NitroJoeC Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 CoasterFanatic, you know so much, what's the name...smart guy. JC
CoasterFanatic Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 ^ Super-Mega-Thrill-Hyper-Swing! Seriously, I have no idea. But would venture to guess that it will be the highest, steepest, fastest, brightest, downtimen'ness, windiest, wettest, wildest, longest ....
nemesis-storm Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 Well as Demon Drop is up for sale, surely whatever is new for '06 will be going there ? :?
Real Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 Well, they said they would only sell if the right buyer came along. It would be foolish then to go ahead and make plans without a for sure sale on the Drop. I think it would be for future expansion and I think that if it doesnt sell this year, they might scrap it next if push comes to shove.
FlyingScooter Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 My Guess for the swing name: MayTag Unbalanced: The Ride!
Jeezus Juice Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 This just in...Tony and Tyler are D-Bags... How long have we known about the swing anyway...may? Cedar Point BEST Dirt Covered Plans ON THE PLANET!!
sfmmFREAK Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 wow, sfmm and cp are really at eachother's necks to have that one title. but at least CP has a sense of humor. lol.
CoasterFanatic Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 This just in...Tony and Tyler are D-Bags... I can see you are an avid ARN&R reader.
Jeezus Juice Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 ^ I keep summitting articles but I get...nothing! Must be some kind of "boys club"
DRWP2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Author Posted September 11, 2005 I don't really think its going to be a Screamin Swing, I say that because the prints that they showed in the picture seem to cover a way bigger area, then if they were just for a Screamin Swing. Granted it might have been big because it contained reference points for the project, but still I don't think it would have showed the entire park like that. If they do all this hype and just build a Screamin Swing, I'm going to be really disappointed with CP.
haydawg149 Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 maybe its for the anticipation for the new coaster in 2007? ? ? just a thought guys, just a thought . . . CP only did this becuase they want to try and steal the spotlight from MM, they did this for a last resort. CP needed a way to take all of the attention away from MM since they now know that there are getting a FLYER . . .
DragonKhan Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Seriously man, they don't care what SFMM builds. That park is way too far away than that it could draw potential customers away. The only competition they're in is simply the bragging right for most coasters. And why schould they draw away the attention from SFMM then?
Stitch Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Lousy Cedar Point, they will probably make the largest etc. screamin swing but do they think of all the swing sets they are going to put out of business, noooo!
Jeezus Juice Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 I just hope they run a good program. At a 40p cap they should give you more than one full swing ::hopes:: Now about what they're going to name it...I'm going with "maXwag" What do you guys think? -D
NitroJoeC Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 I can tell you what they WERE going to call it prior to KW picking a name for theirs... J "as for the name itself, that will be announced in about a week" C.
CoreyXtreme Posted September 11, 2005 Posted September 11, 2005 Hmm, let's see here, what can I say about something like this? One part of the plan (you can see the ripped edges). Rumors of a flyer, SFMM getting a flyer, a stupid swing ride which everybody knows CP won't add.... Irony at it's finest.
