Wasn't this S&S tower supposed to be the first one with the new ringed seats? I think the guy from S&S announced that at IAAPA 2 or maybe 3 years ago.

Looks like a fairly well put together park. I really do love the paint scheme on that GIB, looks really cool. I have wanted to go to Russia for ages, but not for any Theme Parks, this just adds fuel to the mental fire.

The S&S tower does have ringed seats. This is a picture of another park, photoshopped in the right colours.

S&S tower opened yesterday, Mack coaster didn't even launched 1 train because the ride isn't finished yet (so also Mack coaster is photoshopped).

GIB is making progession and made several runs with and without test dummies. So also not open yet.

The tower opened September 18.

Found a decent video that gives you a good view of the ring-seating:

The Mack mouse has been open for a while...

The only rides not yet open are the GIB (was scheduled to open Sep 30, but it will likely be early October) and the Mack LSM ("November").

Earlier this month the GIB was doing test-runs:

But what is this, a 4th coaster?

It's called Drifter (Дрифтер) and it's... weird. It sort of resembles a Disk-O, but with a complete track... so not a shuttle.

Also, it looks like the car doesn't fully spin, it only "drifts" (hence the name).

Anyone know who made this contraption?

What the ....? It looks like instead of drive tires it is propelled by saw blades

As to the tower: doesn't it look like they could have put a lot more seats as they are quite far apart or is it a matter of weight?

Also, that is some heavy trimming on the wild mouse. Hopefully it won't be like this forever but then some of the brakes looked like permanent magnetic ones, so...

The S&S tower doesn't look as fast as the standard combo towers, probably it's due to the height or the mode it's running. The ring is so big that they can easily fit in a few more seats.

The wild mouse already passed the level of MCBR The Ride, it's E-Stop The Ride!

I have to say I think the color scheme of the GIB is weird and I'm not a fan of that. A lot of people seem to like the color scheme a lot.

That little coaster is so cute! I think they are putting magnetic fins on drive wheels to push the car. Anyone knows who the manufacturer is? It can't be Pax because they quit making roller coasters I'm guessing IE Park.

I wonder how this park is doing now that the Olympics are over? I've seen reports that Sochi is a ghost town now.

This park never opened until after the Olympics, so expect this to be a Hard Rock Park scenario in the future, without the coaster and/or rides going anywhere.

The small coaster "Drifter" yes it is by I.E. Park (Italy). See rcdb

It's driven by an eddy current system, called "LEM" which looks to be a completely new type of launch system

The drive system is done by PREXCO (Italy), a company which also makes eddy current brakes

see prexco website and their LEM website (though quite poor). Better the video:

I rode the one in Abu Dhabi last week. It's a very bizarre ride, to say the least. It's a shame that it has the OTSRs; some of those "drifts" are fairly painful! That being said, it's one of those rides that just screams "TPR, come ride me!"
