SonOfBeastSucks Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 It is still in the $3/ just below range in the area I live but half an hour away on the south side of town you can get it for an amazing 10- 15 cents cheaper.
BiCoastal Kid Posted September 10, 2005 Posted September 10, 2005 ^George Bush likes southerners, so we get all the cheap gas.
Token Yankee Guy Posted September 15, 2005 Posted September 15, 2005 Well, it's good to see that the oil pumps that were knocked offline due to the hurricane are finally coming back online. I just filled up my car today (put in 9.179 gallons) and it costed me $24.77 at $2.69/gallon. The Maine State average is still in the 2.8x range.
FlyingScooter Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Cleveland ohio: 2.75 for premium yesterday.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Gas prices are going down, I got gas for $2.77/ gallon yesterday.
Twister II Posted September 17, 2005 Posted September 17, 2005 It went down, on Monday, 2.99 now on Friday its 2.82
FlyingScooter Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 We hit 3.25 a gal here in Cleveland, Ohio. It's going to be a fun summer.
thrillrideseeker Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Gas prices today were at $3.01 a gallon. But they change every day so I doubt it will stay that way for long. ~Matthew *Is glad he no longer has to fill up a H3* Stout
Masked_Maverick Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 $3.18 was the cheapest I saw around here. I need a freaking Hybrid.
SonOfBeastSucks Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 It is $3.18 everywhere around here right now. And I thought $2.98 was bad...
Wishmaster Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Damn, gas in the US is cheap! Last time I filled up my car (yesterday) I payed €1 a litre (5.13$ a gallon) and that was just diesel. Normal gas costs 7.25$ a gallon. Note that my tank holds about 45 litres (11.89 gallon) so filling it up costs me $61!
Chris Benvenuto Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 ^ Think it's due to no tax on our gas, and tax on your gas. Plus the added fact that you pay by liter and not gallon Here in Royal Oak, we have 3.15$ a Gallon. Premieum is at I think 3.50$ per gallon.
FlyingScooter Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 ^HUH? There's plenty of taxes on gas in the US. I believe it's over 20% of the total cost per gallon in some states. http://www.cnn.com/2005/EDUCATION/08/15/extra.gas.prices/index.html
ParkTrips Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 ^ Think it's due to no tax on our gas, and tax on your gas. You are paying more than 40 cents per gallon as far as gasoline taxes go in Michigan, not to mention the cost imbeded to pay the "corporate" taxes for everyone who touches the gas from when its drilled to the time it gets to your car...
Wishmaster Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 ^ Think it's due to no tax on our gas, and tax on your gas. Plus the added fact that you pay by liter and not gallon Here in Royal Oak, we have 3.15$ a Gallon. Premieum is at I think 3.50$ per gallon. Yes, Belgian gas taxes are high. But no matter whether the money goes to taxes or to the gas company, I still have to pay that much.
Angry_Gumball Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 These gas prices are annoying me...Paid $3.35 this morning, got only 5 gallons with $20..As much as I don't support rising gas prices, it's almost unavoidable...Wonder what would happen if everyone decided to boycott driving and use other gasless means of transportation, mainly to show oil companies that we're not up for the rape-age of money. That's why I'm glad I bought a longboard so I can just cruise to and from work and other local places instead of showing off the status of having a car.
arrowfanman Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Paid $61 filling up the van yesterday, at $3.45/gal for regular. ...looks like I need a job. -Jahan
ParkTrips Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Paid $3.35 this morning, got only 5 gallons with $20 I'm no math person but I'd guess that you were just a hair under 6 gallons... $3.33 would have given you 6 full ones... just trying to be a little optimistic here
thrillrideseeker Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Paid $61 filling up the van yesterday, at $3.45/gal for regular. ...looks like I need a job. -Jahan Yeah... I would say you do need a job if you are spending $61 to fill up with gas. That or you could just stop going place ~Matthew
spaceace12 Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 Friday, in Terre Haute, paid 3.19. About 14 dollars. Saturday, in Evansville, 2.90, coast 18 dollars Today, in Terre Haute, paid 3.12 (with my discounted cents off at work I had gotten) regurally 3.18. Cost was 18 dollars. On Friday, I drove 5 days without getting gas. Saturday, I stopped halfway on my way home from Holiday World. and todays was the rest of the trip home from Holiday World and some city driving. My car, according to GM, should get 20/28 mpg. Doing Highway driving, I pushed it up to 31 plus, because when I fill I up, I fill it up to the point of almost coming out. So it is usally a extra gallon in from the point of auto shut off. The only thing I have done is a K and N air filter and replaced some worn parts. I am getting a CAI and a muffler, which should push it higher. I also, only use the grade up from 87. Mostly 89 sometimes 91. Adam "I want a motorcycle" K
FlyingScooter Posted May 7, 2007 Posted May 7, 2007 ^K & N's can make a big differance! You are right. I had a Grand-am that i was getting great mileage with, largely due to mods like cold air intakes and such.
USRoadTripper Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 The gas station near my house has been hanging out at $2.85 for a couple of weeks now. I haven't seen any of the stations here get to $3.00 yet. -Julie
Twister II Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 $3.01 here. I get a 3c to 10c discount with Safeway, so around $2.98. I remember about a month and a half, it was $2.08 and with my 10c discount it was under $2.00.
