Invertalon Posted January 23, 2011 Author Posted January 23, 2011 The watermark was reduced in size quite a bit, just not on the ones uploaded here since it would take so much time to replace. But they were adjusted and reduced to be less bothersome on my page and the remaining updates I will post.
Chroniq Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Just letting you know. I found a bunch of your photos on another website with the watermarks and the people removed.
Invertalon Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 Why would you upload them, without posting the link? Nice.
robbalvey Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 ^^ LOL! Nice photoshop job Croniq! I approve! Â Why would you upload them, without posting the link? Nice. He's just razzing you about the water mark. It's a joke. We do that here on TPR sometimes. Plenty of people kept telling you the water mark was annoying, but you just kept making excuses for why it wasn't. Personally, if several different people keep giving you the same constructive feedback, maybe you should try listening to them? After all, aren't you posting these pictures for other people to enjoy? I always say you should "listen to your audience if you want to improve your show." Â Croniq was just making a point. And I 100% agree with it. Â --Robb "Now if you can just do that with the rest of his photos and reduce the saturation ever so slightly, they would be freaking AMAZING PICTURES!!!" Alvey
Invertalon Posted January 24, 2011 Author Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) I actually made NO excuses and took the advice of those who mentioned it and reduced the size of the mark on my Flickr images, and will be even more-so on any future exports. I did not edit my images here due to the time it would take to do so, given how the upload system operates. And since the images were directly uploaded to this site, they did not change when all my Flickr images were updated. So don't say I ignored anybody, I listened. Edited January 24, 2011 by Invertalon
Hhappy Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Ok i've been trying not to comment in this topic but what the heck.. here's my opinion. Â Remove those darn watermarks, they don't add anything to the picture and are just plain annoying. As you have seen it's pretty easy to remove those with a little bit of photoshop skills so they don't prevent anything. Â Regarding the editing of the pictures.. As soon as i can't see the edge of a building anymore because it goes straight into the sky.. it's screwed.. If i feel i need sunglasses to look at pictures.. sorry dude.. Let's not get started about people's faces in these pictures.. some are just one big blur of sunlight.. Â In my opinion pictures should show how things look during the day(or night). If you want to show specific details, zoom in.. adjusting by +2 and +4 story.. come on.. Â But that's just my opinion. I make my own share of mistakes but i try to listen to suggestions from others and try to improve myself every single time.. Â Have fun, keep on taking pictures and work on your own style of taking these. Just don't be a D**k when people give comments which you don't like.. Â That's my 2 cents.
BeemerBoy Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Have fun, keep on taking pictures and work on your own style of taking these.Just don't be a D**k when people give comments which you don't like.. Â Sorry, but all images have been removed. Â Â Oops, it appears someone may have picked up their ball and gone home. So much for constructive criticism.
robbalvey Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) Sorry, but all images have been removed. WOW! What a complete f**king tool. Did you really just "LOL" at feedback given to you from TPR's most experienced photographer? A guy who's photos are used by parks and ride manufacturers? You're LOLing him? REALLY??? It's too bad because your pictures were decent! Why is it you can't take constructive feedback? Plenty of people have complimented you, which you respond back with gushing appreciation, but when someone (and not just Hanno) criticized your photos, you have been nothing but rude and abrasive towards them, and then acting like a child throwing a tantrum, you've gone and deleted all your posts because a few people were trying to give you advice? Seriously, dude, are you 22 years old or 12? Â Please let this be a lesson to everyone reading this thread because I think this is very sound advice... Â Please understand that when your "audience" gives you constructive feedback, they aren't doing it to be mean, they are doing it because they like what they see, and they want you to improve your game. Â For years, we have been taking constructive feedback about TPR from our members. We always listen. ALWAYS. We may not follow through on some suggestions, but we always listen, and we try our best to accommodate. Â Someone that is not willing to listen to constructive feedback, should not be putting themselves out there in the public to begin with. Like I said a few posts back... Â "Listen to your audience if you want to improve your show." Â --Robb "Thank you for weeding yourself out of TPR. We like to call it natural selection." Alvey Edited January 24, 2011 by robbalvey
PKI Jizzman Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Was looking forward to some cool photos. Too bad the whole watermark thing came up, I haven't even bothered with that crap. Posting photos on TPR for everyone to enjoy is the best, why downgrade it with a big distraction across it?
kcsteve Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Hanno, stay away from my Flickr stream. My cheesy phone photography might send you over the edge.
Chroniq Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 (edited) I'm sorry for removing your watermarks on a couple photos, it was just to prove a point.... Also critiquing photos is not a personal attack.. Â Â Chris "the internet isn't real" Connolly Edited January 24, 2011 by Chroniq
BeemerBoy Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 For the record, I admire one less photographer on here now. Well, as long as his dumba$$ is still around here anyway.
DJeXeL Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Â Looks amazing!! Watermark is just the right size.
Sir Clinksalot Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 ^^ Wes, I would think that would be Copyright 2010 ... you have to make sure you put the year when the picture was taken.
Meteornotes Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Wes, Not bad, but I don't think it's big enough. I'd go with this. Â Â dt
SharkTums Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 ^Nice watermark, but not enough filters on the picture itself.
Wes Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 You need to adjust your exposure. The sky should be white.
DJeXeL Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 ^^What's with the personal attacks?? No need for that!
The Bebes Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Wow, how entertaining is this? I want to see his photos soooo bad now!! Â It sounds like this guy is a serious photographer who takes his work, and himself, far too seriously. He's young and he knows everything. Eventually, he'll have to realize that other people have good advice to give. Â I just wish he was brave enough to leave the photos up. Â - Lady Bebe
kcsteve Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Hopefully Robb won't be adding watermarks to the Club TPR signature banners.
Meteornotes Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 You need to adjust your exposure. The sky should be white. Â OK, I think I fixeded it. Â dt NO ONE BETTER DARE COMMENT ON THIS EXCEPT TO PRAISE IT FOR THE GLORIOUS EXAMPLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY THAT IT IS
Wes Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 Wow that's really good. You should be a professional!
