turbolaaf
Toverland in the Netherlands is a park the most would recognize thanks to Troy, a GCII coaster. The park is open year round so it gives me the time to take pictures during winter period. I'm sure you would like to see some during these day's, when most parks are closed. Hope you'll like them Edit: uploaded them to TPR Enjoy On top of the lifthill. Taken with permission of the park On top of the lifthill. Taken with permission of the park The new ride; Scorpios. With the onboard audio and riding in the top its a great ride. Almost Christmas. I'm going back in a few weeks for the indoor pictures they requested. AyTrane
Great Pictures! You should post the two photos of Troy over on the Great Coasters Facebook page.
turbolaaf
That's a great idea. I posted them just a few minutes ago. Hope they'll like them
DiSab
It didn't look like Troy was open in the snow, right? Regardless, riding that stuff in the snow would be epic. I do wish other parks opened in the winter, even if it was just for limited days and/or hours. It would be something different to experience. robbalvey
This would be a great TR for us to put on the front page of TPR, but the photos are not uploaded to the TPR server. If you could upload them, we would feature the report on the front page.
chadster
Wow, that's crazy operating the motobike with snow on the track, and the pirate ship with snow on the sides. Don't know of many American parks that would even think of that!
let1gre
Great pictures! The blanket of snow covering the park is very beautiful.

Guy T. Koepp
Great photos! There is something so relaxing about seeing a GCI covered in snow. The only thing that could be more relaxing, is if it was running in tha snow. Beautiful pictures!

HighExtreme
Great photos! I visited Toverland back in January 2009 with lots of ice, snow and general coldness. Unfortunately it was too cold to run Troy, however the park cut through the ice with chainsaws to get the Backstroke log flume operational I was very impressed with fantastic commitment from the park to get everything open, despite there only been around 50 guests in the park, they didn't have to really make the effort and I don't think a lot of parks would have done, got to love Toverland

sspaz1000
Fantastic report. The snow makes the park seem so peaceful. Like alilstronger I hate the cold and snow, but it does look fantastic in pictures.
RoCo
The vast majority of these beautiful shots would make such kick-ass Xmas cards! Plus, I love that their "pirate ship" has on-board audio! Is that a first of some kind?

RoCo
^Cool. Can't say that I'm a huge fan of swingin' boat rides, but take any ride and add onboard music/sound fx, and I'm there. This really does look like a very cool park all around (no pun intended).
Corkscrewy
Do I smell the CP fanboys starting up a petition to keep Cedar Point open year round??
carolinacaniac
As 'cool' as that would be, I have a feeling that the parks here in our sue-happy nation would be spending a lot of time meeting attornies about lawsuits over people slipping on icy paths, platforms, ect... -Gary
screaminkid2005
^I could agree more! Parks during the winter to me are so beautiful! I hope to make it out there sometime and check it out!
robeclay
The park looks gorgeous with all the snow. You would NEVER catch me on a rollercoaster in the snow. I'm used to my 110 degree days at Six Flags Over Texas.
