Carnage Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I'm in, and so looking forward to it. Can't have enough Canadian's on the trip.
OldJJman Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I'm actually looking forward to finding out if the giant SLC can be called the worst ever... I mean, it's going to take a LOT to be worse than Goudrix. (The 3 Volare's I've ridden are tied for a distant second). Goudrix IS that bad! JJ
Hicko Posted November 20, 2005 Posted November 20, 2005 ^^^Trust me it's rougher than Goudrix. Although I'm sure you'll all have a great time at Fantasy Island still. As has been said the Millenium coaster although the layout is a bit strange is quite fun due to it being uber smooth.
lagg Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 Cool, I would be up for Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures. Its like a 2 hour train ride, and I have an annual pass.
deathmole Posted November 27, 2005 Posted November 27, 2005 I mean, it's going to take a LOT to be worse than Goudrix. (The 3 Volare's I've ridden are tied for a distant second). My word you're in for a suprise, trust me, by the time you enter the Cobra Roll on JO you will BEG for it to be over, the amount of bad language will only be surpassed by the amount of PAIN. Seriously though - klonk!
dc006f5086 Posted November 28, 2005 Posted November 28, 2005 Anyone going on the UK trip will be even more happier as oakwood are getting a eurofighter for the 2006 season. http://www.oakwood-leisure.com/rides/speed.htm
Luxo Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Are there any spaces left? My parents are considering letting me go.
SharkTums Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 Connor, if your deposit was received today you would be 2nd on the wait list. I have a feeling that 2 or 3 people could drop around our upcoming February 1st deadline, so you have a chance. Just remember that participants 15 or under must either have a parent or temporary guardian with them.
lagg Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I was woundering... could I possibly meet up with you guys for Thorpe Park only, or do I have to do the whole trip?
SharkTums Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 You can meet up with us for sure! No ERT or 'park perks' but we'd be happy to meet up with you during the day. We will post of final schedule closer to the trip.
willski Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 I finally realized that I should look in here (a few months after the announcement), but it's too late. I'll send in my deposit soon for the waiting list. Oh, btw, if we turn 16 before the trip but after the deposit(s) are due (my birthday is April 7th) do we still need the form? I'm guessing not, but just wanted to make sure. And for those who are going for sure. There is/was an airfare sale on Orbitz, I found Atlanta-London for $384 total.
SharkTums Posted November 30, 2005 Posted November 30, 2005 If you are 16 as of June 9th, 2005 you do not need a parent or guardian, but will need a bunch of forms filled out. Also keep in mind that at this point you will be on the waitlist. There is a good chance you will get in, but don't buy your airfare just yet!
Gnome Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 I would love to go with you guys on this, all those parks look awsome.... except for that black pool. On average, how much would you save if you were to go on one of your TPR trips as appose to doing it all by yourself?
SharkTums Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 It would probably be very similarly priced. The difference is that going with us you'll get some 'perks' at the parks, and not have to worry about driving, planning, making reservations, etc. - Car Rental would be around the same as paying for the Bus - Hotels would probably be a bit more expensive than our group rate, but you could stay somewhere cheaper - Park Admissions would be a bit more because we're getting group rates - Our participants pay a little extra for our trip insurance, shirts, goodies, etc.
Chris Benvenuto Posted December 3, 2005 Posted December 3, 2005 ^hey, just wondering Elissa, when are the dates for the group europe trip in 2007 going to posted? next summer?
SharkTums Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Actually I think we're going to do Japan in 2007 and Mainland Europe or Scandinavia in 2008.
Ghost Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Actually I think we're going to do Japan in 2007 and Mainland Europe or Scandinavia in 2008. How much I would have loved going on the UK trip I just cannot now if I would make it closer to the date... With the places filled up already it looks like I will have to pass on it... Maybe a good excuse to be there for one of the other trips....
Scaparri Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Yeah, I really want to ask a ton of questions about Japan, but I recognize it probably hasn't even been planned out yet, so I'll just hold out 'til the official announcement.
SharkTums Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Yeah, we haven't planned much of anything for Japan yet. Look for the official annoucement after the UK trip! There also could be a 'bonus' short International TPR trip in 2007 in addition to the Japan trip.
CoasterCrazy Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 ^Do you know what time of year the Japan trip would take place?
ParkTrips Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 There also could be a 'bonus' short International TPR trip in 2007 in addition to the Japan trip. (please be Spain, please be Spain....) Well at least I think I have been nice enough to Lou where I won't get my ass kicked now
CoasterCrazy Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 I also hope the short international trip is Spain!
SharkTums Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 Did I already say something, or are you guys just getting really good at reading my mind?!!??!?! Yes, it will most likely be Spain, and it will most likely be over the July 4th US Holiday in 2007. As for time of year for Japan. It will likely be the two weeks leading up to Labor Day. BUT THIS IS NOT CONFIRMED NOR SET IN STONE!!!!
CoasterCrazy Posted December 5, 2005 Posted December 5, 2005 ^We are just getting real good at reading your mind!
