Kooky Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 The coaster is opened to the public while they were still working on the theming. The station that will look like an old gun is not yet completed and the same with the theming in the surrounding area. Here are some photos of the opening from http://www.unserradio.de/default.aspx?ID=6220&showNews=1012780:
Lamoure Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Great! That looks very good!! I wonder how that bavarian woman looked after the ride
Mario M. Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Many more pictures of the opening an the coaster can be seen on coasterfriends.de (Page1 and 3)
Kooky Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 So the coaster is running and there some reports that is a really fun and extreme one of his kind. The speed during the ride looks really fast and the most elements are fun as hell. Just some elements are a little bit rough but the Bayern Park and Maurer and Söhne said that they were going to fix this in the winter break. Overall it looks like fun, but in a extreme way... especially if they launch you a secound time without a break, many people mentioned a "grey out" in the curve after the looping, because the g´s there were very extreme there. Overall a really nice coaster and addition, maybe a good visit for TPR next Oktoberfest-Trip. And found a new offride-video in german forums with double launch:
dragonskeep Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 That looks pretty awesome to me. The speed is pretty much non stop. My dream TPR trip would be to Germany, I would love some ERT double rides on this.
Mario M. Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 I sit in this train the video was filmed on our 90 minutes ERT on Freischütz... (coasterfriends.de) I rode the coaster 11 times and it is a very cool and intense coaster (Europs extremst Launch Coaster)... I also had a grey out. Next year the coaster will have the new LED wheels
AstroDan Posted September 15, 2011 Posted September 15, 2011 I am shocked that a small, unknown and VERY family park like this has installed what appears to be such an extreme coaster!
Der Der Dongt Posted September 16, 2011 Posted September 16, 2011 I rode it today and since my expecations were really low I was pleasantly surprised! The ride is fun but the rattle just sucks. You would think after HRRR Maurer has fixed that problem but they still seem to be unable to deliver a smooth ride experience like Mack does. The X-Cars just don't live up to what you would expect form "German engineering". Freischütz is still a good addition to the Park.
Wood Dragon 1988 Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 My dream TPR trip would be to Germany, I would love some ERT double rides on this. Agreed 100%
GeorgeT Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I didn`t ride it myself...but heard several times that the rattle very much depends on the place. While the rattle is okay in the front and the back of the cars...the middle has some serious rattle... Gonna check that myself soon
ScottBrown Posted December 23, 2011 Posted December 23, 2011 Rattle or no rattle this just looks like a very intense ride - I really hope we see them designing more coasters like this in the future
Kooky Posted December 27, 2011 Posted December 27, 2011 and they were working on the theming right now... the station will look like a gun and the terrain gets more plants and details and maybe they are ready to add the LED-Wheels to train this year
Kooky Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 after a long time... here is the first official onride video from this little gem:
Moose Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 This looks like a great addition to a really unique gem of a park. The rider cam doesn't look too intense in that curve, but I know looks an be deceiving. I hope they can work out the kinks with it.
julioot Posted March 30, 2012 Posted March 30, 2012 Wow thats so consistantly quick and forcefull. And those multiple cycle's are mad!
BDG Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 New for 2016: Duell der Adler ("Duel of the Eagles") - Gerstlauer Sky Fly - equipped with a "spin counter" source: Bayern Park
StealthFan Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 Its amazing how popular these Sky Flys seem to have become. I wonder if the spin counter will be visible to the guests as they ride as I'm pretty sure they already have one installed in the ride anyway.
