man
/\I bet you it was the same person/\ Really though this behavoir should not just not be tollerated at disney, but everywhere. I find it really really sad that people would think it's just another boob grab in a place like this. As I said before imagine if it was the little girl sitting there he decided to grab? In a place filled with children (im sure ones that are also unsupervised) and really a place for family and dreams... no one would want a person like that not only being in the park, but also enjoying the park. Walt Disney would be turning in his grave seeing this nightmare in his land of dreams. And trust me when I say from seeing people in my own life who are power crazy I am pretty sure this guy is as troubled, if not more, than he made that woman feel and I'm sure he had gotten himself in more trouble which he ecscaped that day. \/Theres a BIG difference between accidently rubbing ass and going for a grab. I had to see a kid I know who is falling downhill look over at a girl sitting next to him and grabbed her ass... When she was like "what the hell" and than turned away he tried again. Serriously this shit isn't funny and should not be accepted and with this im off this fucking board.\/
CorkscrewFoley
Personally I think this is getting way too overblown. It's A picture. It would be different if they had the whole incident on security, and people could vouch for what happened. Who knows, maybe the guy was talking to her while they were in the queue. It could be a thousand things. Is he a douche...by appearance yes! Is it funny...yeah. As for the clubbing thing with the groping, I have been groped before, and even freaked by another dude. Did I freak out and over react? No, because it happens. I really hate this 'nanny state' we live in. Tim'I guess I should turn myself in for lightly brushing my hand upon some girl's @$$ at the bar last week going for my second Guinness' West. Philrad71
Definitely inappropriate and unwarranted. If a guy touched me in that manner, I would not find it amusing at all either. I would be very nervous that the guy was following me and planning some kind of crazy sh%t when I left the park. I feel sorry for the lady...what a sucky thing to happen on such a great ride when you're trying to have a great time with family or friends. Not cool at all... And to make matters worse, the guys looks like he has a Buffalo Sabres hat on!
King of Ka
I'd just like to point out that so far it seems like the vast majority of the "No big deal" posts are coming from guys, and most of the girls who have posted in this thread are not so fast to push this aside. Guys- I'm sure you all know, to at least some degree, the feeling of being emasculated. Like you're in a situation you don't want to be in and are powerless to get out of it. With that in mind, I think how this woman feels needs to be reconsidered- it's probably a lot worse than you expect.
Imhotep
I definitely do not condone this guys behavior and truly feel sorry for the woman if it ruined her day. I just thought interjecting a little humor tying the article in with an existing TPR meme would be OK considering the statement at the bottom of the forum. I would in no way however say this woman was wrong or over reacted if the article is taken completely at face value. Yes, maybe there is more to it, but its not really for any of us to sort out. Its also not for any of us to say what is and isn't inappropriate or judge her negatively for her reaction. In saying this, I also realize its not for me to tell you all what opinions you should have, and if they differ than mine I say in advance that I respectfully disagree It would really suck to be either of them right now... hope they find the dude and sort this mess out. ParkTrips
jeez, this happens to me every time I ride tower with TPR. edit to clarify, there aren't too many things more uncomfortable than being groped in public by strangers. Something like this actually just happened to me recently and I understand where a woman would be even more upset in her situation. I certainly don't approve of it
JimmyBo
In Vegas one time at about 2am, me and my friends were stumbling back to our hotel room and this guy in front of us was groping ladies butts as he passed them. Then he groped the wrong chick! This goth looking girl was groped by this guy and then she pulled out a knife and stabbed the guy in the side. I kid you not! We were too drunk to remember that site. The lady ran off and then guy stumbled in front of a bar that was closing outside Paris and they called the police. As we passed by the guys entire side was covered in blood. One minute later an ambulance was screaming down the Strip! 2 morals of the story...1) If you're a chick always carry a knife so you can stab the guy who touched you and 2) If you're a dude, don't feel up chicks butts in Vegas at 2am but you can get away with it in Tower of Terror! odene497
Hahahaha. If I was the woman I'd simply go on having that funny story of "remember that time I got my boob grabbed on that ride?" Sure it's creepy. But it's also stupid, and funny. And not worth being all over national news. Wonder what your reaction would be if it was your mom, your sister, your wife or your daughter? Thank you, Bob. I'm glad there's some people in here that get it. I might be misunderstood. No one in this thread is saying that a creepy douche molesting an innocent chick is funny. Actually, he pretty much did imply that it was funny. And like Tyler said in the rest of his post, it's the conditions of the situation that are amusing, in terms of the guy. No, I don't think the man violating the woman is funny. I think it's funny that there's this douchebag guy, on a ride, who couldn't contain himself and had to grab a boob. I think that's funny, because the guy is that big of a douche. I'm laughing at him. I'm not that much of an ass.
laracroft
Ok, so I'm a girl and don't see that this is SUCH a huge deal. Sure it's inappropriate and a total invasion of personal space -I'd be pissed off, but I'd get over it pretty quickly. Definitely not a life changing occurrence. This kind of thing happens all the time -many times I've had random members of the opposite sex (drunk or not!) cop a feel. It happens, and it's not right, but I'm certainly not traumatised by it. I'm also slightly amused by this guy just not being able to restrain himself at Disneyland!
WFChris
I posted earlier that I am in the 'who cares camp' on this one. I know it is wrong, and a big deal and all that, and she totally did the right thing by contacting Security and the Authorities. Contacting the media is what is messed up in my opinion. These kind of people just create this drama so random people 3,000 miles away will make over 70 posts on an internet forum about something they really shouldn't even know about. The public does not need to waste its time searching for a boob grabber. There are much more important criminals to catch. If the park and the cops can get him, great. Perhaps even the local media can broadcast it. But me seeing it on the news on the other side of the nation is a little bit silly. This is just an example of Americans WAYYYY OVERREACTING to stupid little things. Somebody just got their ass kicked in front of a security camera right now and their wallet was stolen. Why isn't that guy's picture posted all over the news?
ghost007jas
On the one hand, I think it is awful that something like this would happen at Disneyland. On the other hand, the fact that it did happen at Disneyland makes this guy SO much easier to catch. If he had just gone for it on a sidewalk, there would be no picture, and no evidence except for a drawing. So, there's the bright side, albeit a dim one. As far as taking this to the media, do I have a problem with it? Not really, that's to be expected. Besides the fact that I don't believe she got on the phone and called up ABC, it's America in the 21st century where thankfully sexual assault is considered an awful thing - so it's going to make headline news. All that being said, I hope they find this guy, throw him on all the sexual offenders lists and makes his life a living hell. The end!
thrillgeek
I'm kind of mixed on this one. I mean sure it was invasion of privacy and all but I think she might have over reacted just a bit. Yes the guy obviously did it on purpose but its not like it was repeated. In any case the guy has no right to do such things especially at a theme park directed toward family's. Save that kind of behavior when you're at a club or something.
DOCTOR DOOM!!!
Speaking of a home park that closed recently, a couple of years back, there were 3 separate rape accusations over the course of the last decade that took place in SFKK's wave pool! All over local news but I don't think any of them made national news!
