So last night was New Year's Eve of course, so we had some friends down for the evening to watch a movie, play some games, watch the Dick Clark thing, and of course, drink some beers. I really didn't imbibe like I thought I was going to. Kind of spaced things out during the course of the evening.

We went over to my parents today for the traditional eating of the New Years Day pork and sauerkraut, so I packed a little variety pack for the road.

I toasted New Years with a glass of Sierra Nevada Bigfoot Barleywine. Great way to ring in the new year.

Troegs Nut Brown. Nuff said.

A couple of Bastards decided to crash the party. They were welcomed with open arms.

The Stoudt's Double IPA. Stoudts's knows how to brew big beers and this is a good one. Nice aroma, bite and finish. Seems a little stronger on draft though.

The Victory Hop Wallop. Absolutley awesome. I think I like this more than the Hopedevil right now. It's like someone rolled up a bunch of hops in thier fist and punched you in the face.

The Weyerbacher Hefe. Damn, I like wheat beers and this one was pretty darn good one.

^ALL OF THE ABOVE^

You guys just make me giggle and go OMG, when I see bottle after bottle being shown, and consumed.

This isn't a razz, really! I am very impressed with how many brews there are in this world and the fact that there are a good number of TPR peeps keeping up with the hops, lol.

I just got very very dizzzzzzzy with photo after photo of all of your current bottles, that you were consuming. Most impressive.

***And Wally? Like I said in your flooding thread, I hope that you, Karen and Gavin are spared a "first calamity" with your brand-new home. Good Beery Cheery Thoughts your way, I send. ***

I'm glad you find the posts interesting. That's the reason I post. To basically show other beer fans what's out there and get some ideas of my own. I can't speak for the rest of these guys and their drinking habits but I've had a lot of time off from work the last couple of weeks, so I've had time to sit around and try some new tasty brews. I have to start back at work today for another long haul, which means maybe just a few beers being consumed during the week, when I get home from work.

I'm around beer EVERY DAY. It really doesn't even phase me anymore. The sad truth about being a brewer.

Yes Wally. That is very sad.

Well tonight I drove the whole way to work in anticipation of having to work a 12-hour shift, only to show up and find no one there. Turns out my boss told me the wrong night that we were starting this week and that we had a holiday today as scheduled. Oh well, I guess I should have called and double checked.

The good news is that I stopped by my favorite liquor store on the way home and picked up some goodies.

It is. And gets the big thumbs up. So how are the Liberty, Porter, and Summer?

So I hear this Anchor Steam stuff is supposed to be pretty good.

Two Belgians I've wanted to try. St. Bernardus and Delirium Tremens. They had the St. Bernardus in a 4-pack with a glass, so I said why not?

Does anyone ever drink out of those giant red Dixie cups anymore? That used to be the norm for me because I don't have a lot of good glasses to waste for booze. I'll usually drink it right out of the bottle, or in a red Dixie cup.

No pictures, but tonight I smacked down a Fuller's ESB that a friend imported for me from London when he visited. Pretty good, a nice fruity taste. A bit bitter, but nothing too intolerable.

^The Liberty Ale is in my Top 3!!!

I'm going to have to try that next I guess. It was real close tonight between the Anchor Steam and a sixer of Pyramid Hefe. Real close.

That Lagunitas Maximus looks nice. Is that a Double IPA?

I only wish they distributed around here.

Great Divide Yeti Imperial Stout. One of those stouts that really grabs you by the taste buds, amongst other things. I knew it was going to be good from the nice tan head it poured.

Lancaster Brewing's (my closest thing to a local brewpub, yeah!) Winter Warmer Ale. Very good. Had a pretty strong malt presence but was sweet as well.

Wow, you guys been busy over the last few days! We were out in Palm Desert for 3 nights, I had a few each night.

Night 1, was good, 2 pints of Beamish and I was happy.....Wally was right yet again, that crap spanks Guinness if you're going for the Irish stout!

Night 2, the other 2 pints of Beamish, soooo smooth.....yum. Followed by the Hofbrau Haus Mai Bock, which was kinda fruity and worth having again, but don't know if it'd be my first choice.

Night 3, well, not just the night, pretty much all day. It was the last day we were out there, and I figured why not have some fun? Had 5 outta 6 Newcastle's (they were spread out), and the Paulaner Hefe-Weizen.....just in a glass this time. Which kinda let me see how cool it looks, not "cloudy" per se, but just that great amber color and opaque enough that you can't see through it......never thought beer made from wheat could taste so good.

All in all, very fun trip, it was cool to try some new stuff too!

Ok guys. Because today is my 17th birthday me and a few friendso of mine were at a local pub called "Conny's Come In" to celebrate me

And at 12 o'clock we had a nice 5 litre "Tower" of Diebels Alt beer. My favourite beer and here are two pics from yesterday. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo when the tower was full But I think you can imagine how much beer it was...

I sold off my clubs after I got my Harley. I sold a lot of things after I bought my Harley.

I hope to get a new set of clubs sometime soon. Because I know my wrecked Harley isn't going anywhere... except in a new garage when I move.

My friends and I went wine tasting on Long Island yesterday.

Three borderline cute girls in their early 20s + male worker in his late 20s and no other customers = free wine for three girls.

We went to three wineries, but I don't have any pictures of the third one.

Vines behind Corey Creek, the sister winery to Bedell. Buy a $5 wine tasting pass at one, and you get to try the other place free.

I took a picture of this merlot because it was the first merlot I ever tried that didn't make me want to VOMIT...

Bedell. Didn't get anything free here.
