Gerstlauer1 Posted October 11, 2011 Posted October 11, 2011 ^^ Looks epic! I'm glad it's only a cheap airplane ticket away...
Rollercoaster5000 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Here are a few of our pictures from yesterday  The rest of the update can be found here http://thorpeparklc12news.blogspot.com/2011/10/construction-update-11102011.html.  Also - the latest time lapse image has been posted on the development diary, more of the lift hill has been erected.
matteocrepaldi Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Thanks for sharing! It's good to see construction moving that fast!
TPDave Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 Nice to see everything moving along quickly, they're making good use of the dry conditions, very rare for October!
StealthFan Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I have to say there is something about the stairs up the lift im not a big fan off. Obviousally I know they are there for a reason but they just look abit odd being so big compared to the track.
coasterfreak101 Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 I think they look better once everything's finished. And once that massive train is above them, it'll look much more in-scale!
Rollercoaster5000 Posted October 13, 2011 Posted October 13, 2011 More pictures have been posted on Theme UK www.themeuk.net/LC12_Thorpe_ParkPG1.html
andyuk200523 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Lift has been topped off.........I am now getting seriously excited for this!!! Â Photo from the Swarm Dev. Diary. Sexy!
Rollercoaster5000 Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Mazel Tov! Look of the size of the lift in comparison to the workers.. it's huge!
matteocrepaldi Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 I'm not too impressed I have high expectations for this ride. And now that the lift hill is done we will probably see the construction moving even faster!
StealthFan Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 (edited) Mazel Tov!Look of the size of the lift in comparison to the workers.. it's huge! Â Well thats pretty much the same for most rides that are tall. For example if you stood right at the bottom of Stealths tower supports you would look tiny in comparison. gisco Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Seems like all the construction pics we are seeing lately are moving along quickly in puttting up the track this year.
Rollercoaster5000 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 (edited) Workers have begun to erect the helix More pictures at Total Thorpe Park http://totalthorpepark.co.uk/features/future2012.shtml  Another update has been posted on UK Park News Edited October 16, 2011 by Rollercoaster5000
StealthFan Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Thorpe Park have been very lucky with the weather we are having right now. From the looks of it the whole track could be up before the rubbish weather starts that could hinder work.
Rollercoaster5000 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Yeah but I don't think the good weather will last long, pretty sure we will have winter in a few weeks time But RCS have been getting this coaster up very quickly, hopefully most of the layout will be completed by the end of next week.
StealthFan Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 ^Whats wrong with winter? I heard another record year of snow! That means if I make it to work there will be a whole lot less to do then normal. That I like. Id be surprised regardless of the weather if this ride is not finished in time.
Rollercoaster5000 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 Ok.. I suppose that's a good thing then .
TPDave Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 At this rate we might see theming start to go in before the season is out!
RollerCoasterSmi Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 I'm going back to Thorpe next weekend (I haven't been since Saw was built), does anyone have any idea how busy it will be? I will come back with some new construction pics...
Rollercoaster5000 Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 (edited) Studios North are now on site so I should imagine that theming work will begin pretty soon.  And the park is bound to be very busy next weekend since it's fright nights.  Admin Edit: imagen ≠imagine Edited October 16, 2011 by TPDave
TPDave Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 ^^ They are predicted to hit capacity for the entirety of half term, it's going to be hell on park. Make sure you but fastrack!! Â Dave
