Hey everyone!

This Wednesday (October 7th) we are going to be hosting a 2010 Trips Chat. Just like in previous years we will be in our TPR Chat Room discussing next year's trips, but this time around we're also going to do something totally NEW!

You will be able to listen in *LIVE* to Robb & Elissa discuss next year's trips and be able to call in to ask your question! *LIVE*

How cool is that?

To enter TPR's Chat Room simply log into the TPR forums with your user name and password and click the "Chat Room" link at the top of the page or follow this link:

http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/chatspot/chatspot.php?room=1

To listen in to TPR's *LIVE* Trip Chat click the following link and press "play" on the radio:

http://www.themeparkreview.com/2010tripchat.htm

You can ask us questions either in the chat room or call into the **LIVE** Chat!

Remember, TPR Trip Chat *LIVE* is happening this WEDNESDAY at 6pm PST (west coast time) or 9pm EST (east coast time).

We hope to see you there and answer any questions you may have!

--Robb

ps. If you are unable to make the chat, a full transcript of the chat room and a downloadable version of the *LIVE* chat will be available.

Yeah, I apologize to all of our international participants that can't stay up that late. But every year we have to make a decision on what time to set, and it seems when we do it earlier in the US, it's too early here and still too late in Europe so there are no winners.

One year we even hosted two chats, but it turns out everyone had the same questions, so it would have been easier to just read the transcipt!

This new format will help everyone though, as you'll be able to listen in for similar questions you may have at any point, and of course we'll be posting a transcript as well.

6pm PST (west coast time) or 9pm EST (east coast time) would be 3am GMT+1 over here, So I can't enter the chat.

But it's ok for me if all the questions asked during the chat will be posted in a topic including the answers, then it's ok for me.

^You're eight hours ahead of us, so yes, at 6pm California Chat time, it will be 2am in Great Britain.

The poster above you is in mainland Europe where it is one hour ahead of you so it will be 3am there.

Does that help?

Also, if any of our International pariticpants are feeling left out here's a great idea:

Post a question in this thread before you head off to bed Wednesday night and we'll address your question (and mention your screename) in the Live Chat!

Just had a thought. Maybe someone with the resources could record the whole thing and post it somewhere. Of course this would first require alot of disk space for the WAVE writing, unless they can encode as fast as the thing is playing.

I myself have an early Thursday so I can't really participate.

PS. Do you guys have Skype? Not asking just for me, but for anyone else who can't afford the overseas phone call. Or would that be too much of a hassle trying to get the programs to share a mic?

^Did you read the first post?

A full written transcript will be available as well as a full downloadable version of the live chat.

I'll probably be on my way home from UD for mid-term break late Wednesday night. If I'm home by then I'll be there, but if not I'll definitely read the transcript.

Listen and call in live?! This is a big step for TPR....awesome!

Yes it is! Please keep in mind this is the FIRST TIME we've ever done anything like this...so bear with us...if it goes well, we may do more stuff like this in the future and quality will only get BETTER!

I would like to know if there is *any* chance of one of the europe trips starting in july instead of june?

Unless all of a sudden park schedules are REALLY thrown off next year, it's unlikely. As it is now all of our Europe trips will conclude around the 5th of July.

Robb, I have some questions about getting to Richmond before the start of the Intimidator trip.

I don't think there are direct flights from Amsterdam to Richmond.

So I think the most easiest way is to fly to Washington DC.

But how do i get to Richmond from DC??

I'm thinking about doing Six Flags America before the trip starts.

So I need some wheels.

Do you know if there are rentalcar companies in DC who also have an office in Richmond?

And after the trip ends in Richmond, I really want to visit Six Flags Over Georgia. Can you help me with the flight to Atlanta?

Posted

We'll address all of these questions in the chat as well, but just so you guys don't have to wait till tomorrow for your answers we're answering them now as well!

^You are correct that there are no direct flights from AMS - RIC, but there are plenty of flight options with connections in various US Cities that will get you to Richmond with one change for little to no more money than to fly direct to DC.

If you wanted to fly into DC, rent a car, hit up SFA, then return the car in Richmond that is all entirely possible. Several car companies will do this. Just be prepared for it to be more than a normal car rental would cost as they charge a 'one way penalty'.

When the trip ends in Richmond you can fly nonstop to Atlanta and visit SFoG. Then you can fly home from ATL, or fly back up if you have a good flight out of DC, etc.

These are all individual cases that we are happy to help with!

Right now I can't check the prizes for flights in august 2010 and also the prizes for rentalcars in the same month.

But if that 'one way penalty' will cost me less then a flight from DC to Richmond then i will go for returning the car in Richmond.

When do you think the prizes could be online for august 2010.
