mcjaco
I think we've settled on the Mazda 3. 0% for 60 months, $500 cash back, and no payments for 90 days. My wife instantly fell in love with it, and I have to say I was pretty impressed. We checked out the Corolla, and being a Toyota guy, I was totally bored with it. And the seats sucked too. For giggles we also looked at the Fiesta. It's a sharp little car. Too small for us, but it got a load of options, and is well priced, and you can't go wrong with the gas mileage. The dealer said they had 40 Fiesta's arrive in the past two weeks, and every single one of them has sold. They don't even have one for the showroom floor! TPDave
I have to agree with Joe. It looks Lotus - y to me too. This is still my favorite Ferrari: Aesthetically, I prefer the F50. I know it's bigger and less focussed but I just adore the styling! You can't go wrong with outrageous scoops and a massive fender!

BeemerBoy
^ Definitely sad to see. But more than that, it's just confusing. There's a surprising number of exotics that have just randomly caught on fire, and I'm interested to here the verdict on this one.

Hotlanta
The replacement for the Enzo will be a Hybrid according to Autoweek: Montezemolo is secretive about how he plans to reshape Ferrari's future product line, but said the brand's next limited-edition supercar, the heir to the F40, F50 and Enzo, will be the cornerstone. The model is due in 2012. “That car will incorporate the state of the art of our knowledge in terms of increasing performances while reducing fuel consumption and emissions. It will then influence all Ferraris that appear after it,” he said. The new model will have the gasoline-hybrid technology the company unveiled in March at the Geneva auto show. Derived from the kinetic energy recovery system Ferrari used in Formula One in the past season, the Hy-Kers hybrid cuts CO2 emissions by 35 percent. The car will also begin a downsizing process previewed in 2007 by the Millechili concept.
spaceace12
Got my 1st car today. A 1996 Chevy S-10 Extended cab, short bed. LIke it so far! If it isn't 4wd, have fun in winter on snow. Get some weight in that bed (pile it high full of snow and clear a spot for a review mirror sight and have some fun with it. In my Jeep Cherokee, I love the challenge of using rear wheel drive only in winter (have four, but find it fun not to use it).

BaMiTsPaT
Hey all! My sister turns 16 this spring (may to be exact) which means I get a new car. Not a new car, but a car new to me I am getting a 2007 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GT. I was wondering if anyone has owned or still does own this car could tell me more about it. TPDave
I was at the launch of a new branch of a supercar club the other day and I thought I'd share some pictures of the exotica on display All in all a pretty good night, open bar and unlocked supercars made it pretty fun! Enjoy: If this is the first thing you see when you arrive, it's going to be a good night! IMO the F430 spider is one of the best looking cars from the last decade... The return of the gullwing!! Very comfy inside too Anything that looks like a spaceship is an instant winner, so the LP560-4 gets my vote! Some of the Brits might recognise Darius of TV talent show fame. He was there doing slightly more mature material. Audi R8 V10 spider, a thing of beauty... One more shot of the Enzo can't hurt, can it? General overview of what was inside. Note the Ferrari 458 in the back corner, the best looking thing to come out of Modena since the 355. Ferrari California, not my cup of tea but quite a few others seemed to like it. Another shot of this stunner! I'll end with a terrible photo, but I figure even a terrible photo of some awesome cars is better than no photo at all... TPDave
Ha! It's actually a little more accessible than that (only a little though!). You pay a membership fee and get points that you can then exchange to hire the cars for a number of days. The idea being that they take care of insurance, maintenance and depreciation while you just drive. They claim you get about 40-50 driving days in a year depending on the type of cars you get out and how many miles you do. Still too expensive for us, but a little less than $600,000 Dave
jynx242
^ Well that sounds like a bargain . I was speaking of the price tag on some of those cars here in the States. I remember when the Enzo debuted it was around $600K. I shudder to think of the insurance rates on any of those amazing machines. It would be my mortgage and car payments combined. Oh well - I can dream.
BeemerBoy
Great stuff, Dave! Any chance you've got a link for that new club? It's a great idea. General overview of what was inside. Note the Ferrari 458 in the back corner, the best looking thing to come out of Modena since the 355. I'd go as far back as the '79 308 GTS. I wasn't big on the California either when it was introduced, but after seeing one in person recently, it's growing on me a bit. It still seems more like the car Ferrari owners buy their trophy wives. Oh, and why was the Enzo parked outside?!?!? ^David, even when the Enzo was introduced, you couldn't own one unless Ferrari "approved" you for one. And beyond that, I've never heard of a pre-owned one selling for less than a cool million. I hear ya though, just an oil change alone on the Enzo costs around $800 the last time I checked. Anyway, you guys have inspired me to post some eye candy from my recent trip to the Ferrari dealership in Fort Lauderdale. Enjoy! A small slice of heaven on earth. The "whited out" look is growing on me. Mmmmmmm, F430 Scuderia. Dave, this one's for you! Convertibles just aren't my thing. Love love love this chair. Why is it that Lambos are about the only supercar that can pull off the crazy color schemes? It just works.....other than the convertible part. These NEED to ALWAYS be hardtops. For the Porsche fans out there, the Carrera GT, at a cool half million. I love that gear shift knob. Can't forget about Maserati. Ooooooh, there's something pretty special about this one. It's an MC-12 Corsa! This is one of 12 in the world, and it'll only cost ya.....
spaceace12
Why is it that Lambos are about the only supercar that can pull off the crazy color schemes? TPDave
Scott, here's the link: http://ecurie25.co.uk/ The Enzo was outside because it was owned by one of the people there, hearing that thing fire up and tear down the road was pretty cool! There is only one nice Porsche in the world, thankfully you posted pictures of it The others have more in common with a frog than a motorcar... jynx242
^ Scott - thanks for the Enzo update. I'll agree about supercar convertibles. With my little MR2 Spyder, if I go more than about 90 with the top down it beats the crap out of me and feels like I'll go bald. I could imagine travelling 150 - 160. You'd have your scalp ripped off. BTW - did you ever see Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle? Demi Moore + Bikini + Enzo = AWESOME!! David
