I figured it'd be ready by HoliWood Nights, but that's good to have a confirmation it'll be previewed next month. I'm looking forward to riding this.

Have yet to experience Timberliner trains but my oh my do they look cozy. Can't wait to try these out!

(I still get teary-eyed just thinking about the failure of project Timberliner on Voyage )

They're so comfortable that they allow you to ride Hades 360 without dying of jackhammering shuffle pain so I think that says it all. Great trains.

Question for those that know... do all parks with Timberliners require their employees to pull on the restraint with their bodyweight? At Mt. Olympus the loading is really slow because they literally lean back w/ their full weight on each bar and tug. I wonder if they've had issues of them not being fully locked before.

Timberliner trains are the most comfortable coaster trains I have ever been in.

Here is a picture I took of wooden warriors train. It was like riding in a lazy boy.

IIRC, Mine Blower's ops give a normal tug on them after pushing in a lil, not so much a full body weight yank.

They are indeed pretty cozy. Maybe not B&M hyper bucket seat type of cozy, but a very good fitting for wood coasters. Even when inverting.

Kentucky Kingdom has been active on Twitter over the last few weeks, sharing new photos of the construction progress on the new Kentucky Flyer wooden coaster opening at the park later this year!

That's almost on par with Lightning Run being the tallest, fastest, longest, steepest, and most wild Hyper GT-X roller coaster in the world.

To be fair, there have been instances of coasters debuting with tallest lift but not biggest drop.

Believe it or not, KI's Vortex opened as world's tallest coaster in '87 (which needless to say, was a record shortlived)

Its 138 ft drop wasn't the biggest though. That still belonged to American Eagle (147 ft), and then ironically enough Beast (141 ft).

Back when woodies still ran the show .

New pictures from today, thanks to Mark Brunner. Loving how this coaster looks, along the back of Hurricane Beach Club. Can't wait til Apr. 26, for sneak peak night to ride.

It'll be weird having to cut through the water park to get to it, but Kentucky Kingdom's layout has never been conventional. Ultimately it looks great as a backdrop to the water park.

I think Thunder Run should have a tunnel at the bottom of the turn around after the lift hill. With mist and thunder sound. Like you're running from thunder. It would give it a little more theme to the coaster.

^ I think they were going with more of the appreciation of simplicity aspect. Not only that, but all of that costs money. I don't think KK was looking to spend big bucks.

At least a tunnel, I think the ride experience would be better and different. Thunder Run has been around for a long time.
