Canobie Coaster
I figured it'd be ready by HoliWood Nights, but that's good to have a confirmation it'll be previewed next month. I'm looking forward to riding this.
Intamin_coyote
Have yet to experience Timberliner trains but my oh my do they look cozy. Can't wait to try these out! (I still get teary-eyed just thinking about the failure of project Timberliner on Voyage )
Canobie Coaster
^ I can confirm they're incredibly comfortable. I'll take them over Millennium Flyers or PTCs (unless there are buzz bars).
i305isdaddy
They're so comfortable that they allow you to ride Hades 360 without dying of jackhammering shuffle pain so I think that says it all. Great trains. Question for those that know... do all parks with Timberliners require their employees to pull on the restraint with their bodyweight? At Mt. Olympus the loading is really slow because they literally lean back w/ their full weight on each bar and tug. I wonder if they've had issues of them not being fully locked before. Canobie Coaster
Story Land pushes down somewhat hard, but I don't remember there being anything more than the usual check at Quassy, Fun Spot, or ZDT's.
thrillrider
Timberliner trains are the most comfortable coaster trains I have ever been in. Here is a picture I took of wooden warriors train. It was like riding in a lazy boy.

At Mt. Olympus the loading is really slow because they literally lean back w/ their full weight on each bar and tug. I wonder if they've had issues of them not being fully locked before. IIRC, Mine Blower's ops give a normal tug on them after pushing in a lil, not so much a full body weight yank. They are indeed pretty cozy. Maybe not B&M hyper bucket seat type of cozy, but a very good fitting for wood coasters. Even when inverting.
jedimaster1227
Kentucky Kingdom has been active on Twitter over the last few weeks, sharing new photos of the construction progress on the new Kentucky Flyer wooden coaster opening at the park later this year! Diamondbacker27
I'm obsessed with the park's social accounts here lately. The accounts really engage with the public and keep us all updated. Props to the new PR guy!

Intamin_coyote
I mean, they're certainly not wrong. THE TALLEST, FASTEST, LONGEST, CRAZIEST WOODEN COASTER EVER TO BE BUILT!!!!!!* *that will open for the year 2019
Midgetman82
That's almost on par with Lightning Run being the tallest, fastest, longest, steepest, and most wild Hyper GT-X roller coaster in the world.
Diamondbacker27
I mean isn't that close to the same thing as a park saying that tallest lift and longest drop are two separate records?
Canobie Coaster
I'm all for a park doing whatever they have to in order to hype up a ride. It'll only help increase attendance.
Intamin_coyote
To be fair, there have been instances of coasters debuting with tallest lift but not biggest drop. Believe it or not, KI's Vortex opened as world's tallest coaster in '87 (which needless to say, was a record shortlived) Its 138 ft drop wasn't the biggest though. That still belonged to American Eagle (147 ft), and then ironically enough Beast (141 ft). Back when woodies still ran the show .
Diamondbacker27
I know there are instances, I'm just teasing.

Love the new view, when you enter Hurricane Beach Club Looking good Fencing going up on turn around Station is coming together Road rails are about half down, on the course Kentucky Flyer will be a great addition to Kentucky Kingdom Are you ready to Fly? _FuryBull_330_
Man, that looks like so much fun, I'm expecting this ride to a good amount of quality airtime . I want this to open NOW.
Canobie Coaster
It'll be weird having to cut through the water park to get to it, but Kentucky Kingdom's layout has never been conventional. Ultimately it looks great as a backdrop to the water park.
ratdogg68
^ You'll enter next to Sky Catcher, on the edge of Hurricane bay. But I see what you're saying.
Diamondbacker27
I really do wish there was a more defined path around the water park at the park. I still find myself walking through the waterpark to get to some rides.
Black323
I think Thunder Run should have a tunnel at the bottom of the turn around after the lift hill. With mist and thunder sound. Like you're running from thunder. It would give it a little more theme to the coaster.
prozach626
^ I think they were going with more of the appreciation of simplicity aspect. Not only that, but all of that costs money. I don't think KK was looking to spend big bucks.
