Random thing: According to a Twitter update, the train is running during Fright Fest. Not sure if it is haunted up or not.

I heard that it was just doing full laps around the park, only stopping at one station. I think that if it were haunted or had some sort of storyline, then it would have been listed on the website as a Fright Fest attraction.

My friend is 6'8 and he isn't allowed to ride Viper either. Or the Sprocket Rockets, Iron Wolf, and V2. When we went where there were a lot of people, we went on Whizzer and some flats. But thats it. So I am have nooo clue what your friend can ride.

Thats odd, the only reason he wouldnt be allowed to ride Viper is if the lapbar does not click, there is no max height requirement. Ive spent a lot of time at Viper and never denied anybody for height reasons. I find it really hard to believe he didnt get on Viper but got on Iron Wolf. Iron Wolf's restraints barely fit on me because of height/shoulders and he's almost a foot taller than me.

Not haunted at all, just a nice lap around the park. It is round trip only from the station in the back of the park (forget the name.)

Does anyone else think that it's kind of a ripoff to pay to get in the park AND pay for haunted houses and mazes? I can see why they're doing it though, to make money. But I stll think it should be included with your admission.

^ For a season passholder, it is not bad at all. You get everything except the 2 large houses with the price you already paid for your pass. If done before 5 you can do both houses for $5 each i believe. Plus they do not do it like the very large parks in turning the night into a hard ticket only event.

The part I do love about SF Great America is how it is still fun for those that do not like haunts. I hate haunts, but get other people love them. So it allows me to enjoy the rides and see Halloween stuff without having to deal with people jumping out at me every 5 feet. So it allows everyone from little kids to those that live to be scared to have a nice day at the park.

^^^^Actually, he couldn't fit in the seats. So he was denied the ride

So I plan on going to SFGAM Friday Saturday AND Sunday...haha. Anyone else going?

I'm trying to go on Sunday, but it's Homecoming weekend, so there is a small chance that I might go.

I will be there Fri-Mon at some point each day. Should be there all night Friday, gone by 5 pm on the weekend and there all day Monday. I'm trying to get all my Fright Fest photos done this weekend before the crowds really pick-up.

Hey guys! Went to Six Flags Great America on Saturday and it was pretty amazing!

It wasn't as packed as I though. Rue Le Morgue was as good as last year, loving it. I had some trouble finding my friend though, but I eventually did. Terror Twister 2 wasn't too good, mainly because I was sitting by myself and I had really hard time spinning the cart. Haha

Whizzer was good, rode it 2 times. Once in day and once at night. Viper I rode in front, American Eagle red and blue side. Rode Jetsens too.

When it is cold, I suggest buying hot chocolate

-But overall, really good time.

Also saw the "Love at First Fright" show. Highly recommend it! The Geico moments and the Kanye West thing was super funny.

Don't forget about the meet-up November 1st!

Matt is indeed correct .. we will be meeting between on Sunday morning 9:30am and 10:00am at the flags outside the main entrance, and might stay until the park closes (9:00pm) - depending upon weather and crowds. There's also the possibility that we'll pick up a gold QBot (or 2) if it's crowded, however I think there's a pretty slim chance of that.

Anyone who can't make it that early, or only wants to meet for a few rides etc, may PM me for my cell-phone number so we can be in-touch during the day.

Reminder for Sunday. I'll be there at opening, holding Cameron in my arms.

To keep warm, of course.

Shouldn't Cameron be holding you in his arms? You're going to be the one that will be wearing the kilt, poncho and boots if I remember correctly.

I just want to let you guys know that I will not be able to go to the park tomorrow. I had surgery 2 weeks ago and I'm not fully healed yet.

I already told Jo Ann that I would not make it, I have to meat up with everybody next season.
