Coaster "Power Colors"?

Recommended Posts

I'm pretty sure there isn't another topic like this, but any who, What color(s) do you think look best on what type of coaster?

For me I'd have to say:

B&M: Blue

Intamin: Red (Or some shade of orange)

Vekoma: Green

ect.

Your opinions?

I agree with the Intamin as red, although blue doesn't look bad.

B&M looks good as blue, but red, yellow, and orange look better IMO.

Green Vekoma's are VERY hot!

Arrow has a tendency of looking good with most normal colors, varying from yellow to white to red to whatever!

Schwartzkoph (I probably spelled it wrong, sorry) looks good in orange, white, yellow, red, and forest green.

I must say that I love the the brown of El Toro at SFGAdv. So brown for Intamin

But I like blue and red for Intamin.

And bright colors for B&M. I love Scream! and Tatsu's colors. And Raptor. And lets just face it all of them.

However I am really digging the Deja Vu color scheme on Vekoma tracks.

Depends on ride type and themeing. EG Air at Alton Towers looks great in light blue and suits the whole flying thing, whereas Intamin looks good in red on Maverick because it needs to be hot and fiesty!

B&M: Dark Red

Gerstlauer: Black

Intamin: Red/Blue

Vekoma: Green

Arrow: Red with white supports

I'm sure I'm the Minority in feeling this way, but Scream!'s color scheme looks fantastic to me. It could use a touch up, but the blue, purple and yellow look great together.

I totally agree. I think Scream! has one of the best color schemes. I've always loved it. But it could definitely use some love. It looks beyond faded.

Does anyone think that Batman at SFMM needs to be painted? My friends say it looks bad and is in desperate need of paint. But I think it fits the theming to look faded. But maybe I am the only one.

Personally, I like the green track and aqua-blue supports on B&Ms that Cedar Fair has used on Raptor and Hydra, especially Raptor. I also like the look red Intamins like Maverick and the new colors for SFDK's V2. For Vekoma, I really like the reverse aqua blue track and red supports that SFA's Mind Eraser had before they repainted it. Great look, terrible ride.

I think the new paint job on Medusa (Bizzaro) at SFGADV looks awesome, and so does Scream!. I think blue B&Ms are pretty sexy in general actually, haha. I'm quite fond of the paint job on Silver Bullet, too. I just hate that for a ride named Silver Bullet, the only silver on the ride is on the supports. Hahaha.

For Intamin, I think red looks great. I love Xcel's colors. Too bad it looks like crap now. That ride is in desperate need of a paint job.

For Arrows I have to say yellow. Loch Ness Monster and Python look(ed) amazing.

After that I really don't care, as long as it's not vomit green or crap brown, I'm good with it. Unless, of course, the colors don't match.

For a B&M, I would go with green.

As for Intamin, I would say a blue. Not going with red for a certain awesome rocket coaster's fade just looks like poop *cough* Xcelerator *cough* Red leaves a bit of a bad aftertaste, literally.

Arrows, however, are uber sexy in red.

/\ Xcelerator never was red, I remember when it opened being really bright pink. It looks bad now because its really faded.

Also how good a paint job looks depends on what kindve paint is used. It looks like recently parks have been going with the really good expensive UV paint (rides like X2, Raging Bull) which lasts a long time and is made for intense sun exposure. For some reason (IDK if parks were trying to cut costs or the paint wasnt around back then), but when rides like Xcelerator were built the paint was lower quality and didnt last as long.

I think Hydra Raptor and Bizarro(SFGAdv) are great coloured B&Ms.

I think Millennium Force is overrated and needs a better colour scheme, but i like Maverick and Bizarro(SFNE)

With Vekoma, I like Deja Vu and Stunt Fall. I really like Nighthawk as well and Carolina Cobra.

I actually really like Riddler's color's. I also am quite fond of Vipers, but totally hate Gold Rushers yellow, does yellow make any one think of mines(not me) Also, I hated X's old colors, but like the new ones. White(California screamin) looks good with Intamin.
