coasterdude5
1974  Hello everybody! We have added yet another ride to our lineup! - Michael May   The Great Twist will surely be a favorite!   I'm not sure if my stomach will be able to handle it, though.   Carolina Calamity completing more test runs. Safety is the number one priortiy for us!   This area is coming along nicely! Edited January 10, 2015 by coasterdude5

coasterdude5
1974  Welcome back, folks. We're into the late summer of 1974! I've been unavailable to take any photos of the park as of late because I've been on a business trip to New York to meet with some potential staff members that we would like to have for our first year of operation. Today I have an update from a small project that I spearheaded myself. - Michael May   We have partnered with Minute Maid to provide guests with refreshing ice cold lemonade.   Guests can relax in the seating area while they enjoy their beverage.   ...just like the good ole days!   The entrance to Carolina Calamity had minor modifications made when its signage was installed. coasterdude5
1974  Hello folks, welcome back! We've been working very diligently inside our theatre this week! - Michael May   The interior is complete! We aren't quite done with the facade, though.   This will be a great place to come in from the heat and kick back to watch a show.   Lighting has been installed on many of the rides.   We're not ready to open, but we're getting there! coasterdude5
Hey guys I hope you can all come to the Greenhouse premiere party on Wednesday! A link to the chatroom will be posted on Wednesday.  1974  Hello again! We are quickly approaching the end of 1974! We have finally finished the theater, we could host a show in there right now if we wanted! - Michael May   The theater takes after the classic mainstreet theaters seen across America.   All of the lights in the lobby haven't been turned on yet, but I'm sure you get the general idea!   I decided to go a little classic tonight with my other camera.   Looks a little different now! coasterdude5
1975  Hello there and welcome to 1975! It's been a hectic past year, but we've gotten many a thing accomplished! We've got a lot of work to do until we arrive at opening day! - Michael May   Monster Mash Hotel will be Charleston Gardens Amusement Park's dark ride attraction!   The entire ride is elevated so it should provide some good views of the midway below.   The ride is located directly across from the theater.   We've hired some local talented artists to assist us with the interior of the ride.   Some of the scenery within the halls of the ride will move!   We've put alot of work into this ride, we hope you enjoy it at opening!   The main midway continues to expand!  ------  Please watch my new movie, Greenhouse.  GREENHOUSE IS ABOUT THE FUTURE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT FIXING THE ECONOMY BY ELIMINATING THOSE THAT THEY FEEL TO BE AFFECTING IT NEGATIVELY.  You can watch Greenhouse on  Youtube Part 1: Youtube Part 2:  Vimeo:  PLEASE WATCH AND GIVE YOUR REVIEWS! coasterdude5
^ Not any time soon.  1975  Hello again we are working quickly towards our opening in only a few months! It seems like every day we are completing something, which is a good thing! - Michael May   Greenway Cafe will be a prime location to grab a bite to eat during your day at Charleston Gardens.   Serving up burgers, hotdogs, and pizza - everybody will be sure to find something they like.   Only a matter of time until it's open! coasterjudge
Man! With every update this park is looking better and better. By the way how big would you say this park is? (You can ballpark it if you have to)
coasterdude5
^ Thanks!  1975  Hello once again! We are progressing quickly on the park! It's only a matter of time before the park opens. - Michael May   The Sumter Emporium is designed to be a tribute to the original Fort Sumter which can be found right here in Charleston!   We decided to have this building visually different from the rest to hopefully draw in guests to make purchases!   There are also seating areas inside for guests to rest and relax in.   The midway is really coming together now! ebtkid
This is really amazing!! Â On a creepy side note, one of my best friends, well his name is Michael May. And another friends dad's name is Jeff King.
coasterdude5
1975  Hello! We recently completed one of my favorite rides in the park: Sky Wheel! This ride will provide great views of the midway. While it might not be as tall as Parachute Falls, I'm sure it will give a thrilling ride. - Michael May   The ride features two connected miniature ferris wheels.   Those eating at the Greenway Cafe will be offered an excellent view of the ride.   At night the ride becomes even more visually stunning with extravagant lighting.   I think this will be a very popular attraction with the guests. netdvn
Â From what I've seen this park is one of the most impressive RCT3 parks I've ever seen. I can see this park becoming the next HHE! The building design and the overall theming is incredible. The park is totally awesome! Â Again...
coasterdude5
1975  We are approaching the completion of this park! We are a little ahead of schedule, actually! Please enjoy these photos of our terrific water attraction: Indigo Plunge   Indigo Plunge will be the ultimate way to cool off during a hot day at the park!   The 30 foot plunge into the water below will surely soak everybody!   The ride begins with a meandering course adjacent to Carolina Calamity.   We've built special drains to assure that the folks enjoying a meal at the Greenway Cafe don't get an extra serving of water with their food.   Onlookers can get a glimpse of the riders' faces as the boat plunges toward the water.   Indigo Plunge will give a great ride at night as well!   I can't wait to take a spin on this one! christianscoasters
How do you get the water around the log flume like that? I have never been able to do that. I've only had it be able to sit on top of the water.
coasterdude5
Quoted from another forum: Â "I didn't follow the tutorial, but I think I did what the tutorial was telling me to do, (it was too complicated to understand). I believe I did it using the underwater coaster tutorial. It includes an option.txt cheat that you have to use, but basically every piece of the log flume that I built had to be built "halfway underground". But I had to raise each piece of land not by the ingame increments, but by microscopic distances. Â It sounds more complicated than it is." DBru
The flume looks great...but the runway for the splashdown looks way too short.
