^ I'm using WinZip to open the RAR. I downloaded rides from Revolutionary Rides, but they don't come out as folders. Should I use something else instead? If so, what should I use?

WinZIP works as long as it gets the files to your desktop. I use ExtractNow for RAR files because I think it's simpler. You just open the RAR in the program, and it spits out the folders with little delay.

Edit: Does anyone know how to install the Green Tree CFR? I tried to do it the way the read-me said to, but it didn't work.

How do you get photos to work for billboards? I downloaded some pics for menus in restaurants and food courts but when I go to access the pic in the billboard folder they don't show up at all. Do the pics have to be in a certain pic format to accessed?

^Do you have Vista or Windows 7? If so, you'll need to do THIS for billboards to work.

Quick Question: I installed CFR's in my Style >Themed >Custom> (Creator's Name)> (CFR Name) But they don't show up in my rides directory when I open up RCT3... any help?

^CFR folders don't go into \Style\Themed, but directly into \Style\Custom instead. If your "Custom" folder is in "Themed", it will not work properly.

^^The Custom folder should be under Style, not Themed. Move the folder and it should work.

Thanks guys, but not all of my CFR's show up... could this have something to do with memory usage?

^ Check the subfolders. Some of the CFR guys make a subfolder named the same thing as the actual folder, and it's unnecessary.

^ Thanks! My last problem: I open up my game and I try to open one of my CFR's up, my game crashes, and a window pops up saying "No :sid for :svd" and I have to start my game all over again... any help?

You probably still have one too many layers of folders for the game to get everything properly. Can we get a few screencaps of your Style/Custom folder and a few subfolders? (For diagnostic purposes)

Never mind, My problem got solved A friend of mines said the same thing you said:

This isn't necessarily related to RCT3, but whenever I try to download custom content, my computer is not able to open the file. The files are ".ovl" files. I recently got a new computer, and my old one allowed me to download cs. Is there anyway I can fix this? Thanks in advance.

You don't open the ".ovl" files. Those are the actual models and other coding used in the game. You place the folder with the .ovl files into their allotted location; it's usually specified in a read me most CS creators put in their downloads

Is there a mod out there that will allow me to increase the hight limits on rides? Or maybe I'm just missing out on some built in option.

 

I am trying to create a park around a deep Ravine, but have encountered a setback as I was building a train bridge across the gap. The game keeps telling me I cannot build the train tracks that far off the ground.

 

I toyed with the idea of changing it to a mine train, but I really would prefer it just to be an old fashioned transport ride to fit with the themeing (the monorail and trams look too high tech).

No, there is not to my knowledge. I don't even know about an options.txt exploit (Google rct3 options.txt if you don't know) to allow any height construction.
