Nemesis Inferno Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I'm back in the realms of RCT after the reasonable absence after the usual lack of interest in Pirate's Cove... So instead of a full-blown park, I'm just done a min-park which could easily be a themed area of a park (which is how it was to be originally)... Miner's Canyon features 4 rides, 2 shops and a restaurant, all this whilst transporting you to an old forgotten mining town where the machinery has gone haywire, explosions are occuring frequently in an old dynamite store, and the old mine is now flooded and said to be haunted... So today we shall look at the area's entrance as well as the two flat rides, Excavator and TNT... And to the entrance we go... Small and understated, unlike the coaster... Random buildings are dotted around the area to give a town feeling... Excavator's entrance and building... Excavator is an indoor Thunderbobs ride, going both forwards and backwards as the old drill malfunctions... Next up is TNT... Yes it's an Afterburner, of course it would be Inside the queue/batching building we see some theming... Restaurant... Ignore the thing in the background Includes a patio and a new view onto the coaster... And that's it for this update, in all honesty this is near enough done apart from some buildings next to the flume ride... Once those are done I can say I've finished a project for once Comments would be delightful...
BkkMan13 Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Nice job on the theming, and I think the entrance to this park/area looks great.
DBru Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 I always love your RCT3 work, and this is no exception. Can't wait for the next update...
cinciDAWGS12 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 ^I agree! I love the feel of this park. Keep it rolling!
Nemesis Inferno Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 ^^^Thankyou very much... ^^Nice to know my work is liked very much, so post here more ^It's not gonna roll for a long time, it's only a little side project type thing I'm afraid... Anyways, today's update is the Log Flume, known as Haunted Mine... It features 3 drops and a backwards section deep within Miner's Mountain (Cedar Fair naming skills... I has them)... But of course, pictures are better are they not? Roll them... Walking down the midway, past the toilet block... Over there is the entrance and station... And the queue... Inside the station, I even had room to put in random boat storage areas Off we go... Down the first part of the river, we float past a flooded town... Watch out for the Church... Then into a building for the first drop... Nowt special, slight dampening but that's it... For now... The mountain awaits... No pics from the inside, but here's a part where we leave the interior of the mountain to the fresh air again... Then the main drop... Water cannons and geysers are set up near the drop for extra money and fun... And that's the flume... Only the coaster to show now Tease you with this last shot... Thankyou...
monkeyoverlord71 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Looks awesome. How long did it take to do that log flume? It looks really smart with the wooden siding. Can't wait for the coaster looks pretty cool.
the ghost Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 That looks awesome. Probably the best flume I have ever seen.
BkkMan13 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 The log flume looks awesome, I love its scenery, the water effects and the layout itself. Nicely done!
Nemesis Inferno Posted February 4, 2009 Author Posted February 4, 2009 ^^^No excessively long tbh, I did the layout before making the mountain, the theming isn't totally finished yet though as you can see in the last shot... So actually it isn't finished... The sides are CS... ^^Carlsberg-esque would you say? ^Thankyou once again, the water effects I don't know who's CS they are, but I got them in the Net-On pack if you want them... Ride Events too... I'll post the coaster tomorrow...
Nemesis Inferno Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 Gah Double post, but no-one else commented so not entirely my fault Righty ho then, here be the last update of the park, been messing around with the unfinished side of the flume’s town, so hopefully I can release this proper… Anyways, this update’s focus is the coaster… A B&M Floorless, Canyon Runner… Canyon Runner is part of my recent liking to try and recreate coasters, so extra points for guessing which ride I have recreated here… Onto the pictures we go… The entrance is rather small, but of course, with the lift-hill right behind it, you’ll have better things to concentrate on Couple of queue-line interiors and station shots here… After the 180 turn out of the station, we hit up the lift-hill… After the lift, we hit the first two loops… Random head-chopper building… A Zero-G is shortly followed by a Cobra Roll which dives into a small valley… After an airtime hill, the interlocking corkscrews, featured on many a B&M get involved… Random turnaround from the restaurant patio… Final helix before the brakes… Brake run and transfer sheds… An overview of sorts… Finally the station from the exit area and the Flume entrance… And the exit… As I said earlier, once I’ve done the other side of the Flume town I’ll pop this up for a download, and I can be happy that I’ve finished a project (regardless of it’s tiny size )
terrancew_hod Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 Looks nice! What supports are you using? Terry
PointeBreak Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Very realistic and something I'd actually wait in line to ride. GREAT JOB!!!!
EagleMan76 Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 That looks amazing, great attention to detail! The rides are incredibly realistic, especially for RCT3, and I like the disign of the log flume, that runout is great! So realistic, it looks like the pump houses are right on the reservoir. BTW, in the image of the train engaging the lift, is that kid tall enough? Lol. Keep it up!
Nemesis Inferno Posted February 6, 2009 Author Posted February 6, 2009 ^^^The supports are of Moby's Steel Jungle, take longer to use than Steelworks, but give a better result I think... ^^Why thankyou, if only the RCT3 people would do the same ^Of course the kid's tall enough... And again, thanks... Yay for download… http://rapidshare.com/files/194608350/Miner_s_Canyon.rar.html You’ll need a few bits of CS for it to run fully, and here they are… - Aceana’s Pavement Essentials 1/2/3/4 - ATH Catwalk and Accessories Set - Belgabor – Really Custom Generic Stall Set - CSF Rock Set - DasMatze Billboard Collection - DasMatze Instant Wood - DRP’s Lights - Errt’s Invisible Entrance - Enceintes - Iceatcs’ Make Your Own Logo Set - Imagine – Flume Covers - Imagineer John’s Animated Coaster Kit - MNM Leftovers - Moby’s Steel Jungle - Mr Plow & BrightFalls Coal Mine - NF Particle Effects - Shyguy’s Circus Centre 1&2 - Vodhin’s Light Kit - Vodhin’s Mill Set - Vodhin’s Vermont Set - Wagi’s Ghost Mine Ride Set 1/2/3 - Invisible Park Entrance (Don’t know the maker, but it’s effectively a Banner for the Entrance, it’s hidden in the building…) If some of the scenery is still missing after you’ve downloaded, best bet is to then go and download the NetOn Packs, which are rather immense… Especially the second one as it features a lot of custom rides and coasters… If enough people are interested though I could always make this into a proper park N:I P.S If the download doesn't work, tell me and I'll add a mirror...
Nemesis Inferno Posted February 8, 2009 Author Posted February 8, 2009 Yet another double post here, but I come with good news... Firstly, I'm expanding the park, dunno bout a name yet, so it'll stay as Miner's Canyon for now... Of course, this means teasers Interesting yes? Also I forgot to mention 3 other CS packs that you need to run Miner's Canyon perfectly, these are: - JCat's Steelworks (for transfer track stuff) - DasMazte's Random Stuff (for footers) - A-Goodies for Coaster Set (for support killers) I should do a proper update on the new area tomorrow...
Nemesis Inferno Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 ^Maybe... Not saying anything.... yet UPDATE!!! The Eastern Empire is upon us! From the old west to the old east, the newly named Project Adelaide is pleased to announce the expansion of the Eastern Empire area to it's well-recieved Miner's Canyon area... Featuring 5 exciting rides, and an acrobatic show, the new area is sure to take your breath away... I was bored so I felt a bit of extra feeling was needed Anyways, the new Asian themed area has been completed, so let's go on a tour shall we? Looking from Miner’s Canyon, this has sprung up ain’t it? The entrance into the area, this area is however not a dead end, so another will be added when the connecting area will be… The view you get when you first come in… This building houses the acrobatics show… The path then forks when you reach Cloud Riders, the Chairswing… The left fork goes to the rest of the area, but today’s update focuses on the right fork, which leads to Tsunami… The entrance to the queue… Looking up… The ride has two queue line buildings, this is the interior of one of them… Overview of the station… Notice I also have boat storage here as well Up the lift-hill it goes… And down the drop… View of the back-end and return to the station… And we end with a nice shot of Cloud Riders… That’s it for now, not much left with the area to do, just sort out the shops and what-not so once that’s done it’ll be up for downloady goodness…
themeparkman25 Posted February 10, 2009 Posted February 10, 2009 I spy with my little eye a flying coaster!
Nemesis Inferno Posted February 13, 2009 Author Posted February 13, 2009 ^^Thankyou ^It'll be coming soon that update don't worry I've been busy finishing the area off, as well as starting work on the entrance area and assorted buildings, which does kinda mean that there will be no EE download unless people beg enough to not wait until I'm finished with the entrance (and it will be big, already has a coaster ) Cannot be bothered to do a proper update, so have a couple of pics of Yang, the Top Spin... Entrance View from the Entrance... Inside the Queue-line, some extra theming will be added eventually... A small area is set aside for viewing, as like Rameses, it's below ground level... You will get wet... Teaser (again) Keep the comments coming...
the ghost Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Flyer looks great, but I am not a huge fan of the purple and green color scheme. Besides that, keep up the good work!
monkeyoverlord71 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 ^I'm pretty sure it's red and green.
Speeddeamon128 Posted February 13, 2009 Posted February 13, 2009 Awesome park & theming. I was never into theming when I played RCT3. I just built a path for food stands, drinks, & bathrooms & had it branch out to different rides & coasters.
terrancew_hod Posted February 14, 2009 Posted February 14, 2009 I like what you're doing with the park, especially the oriental theme in the queue line. Terry
