I liked the Clydesdale fetching too. You can keep the Potatoheads though, that one was lame. And after wtaching the rest of the GoDaddy commercials online....why did they bother?

JimmyBo Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 My favorite was when the porn came on. Everyone thought it was another commercial but then we all were like "WTF!" and then it switched off. Pretty crazy and someone in Tucson is going to get their @$$ kicked and fired. If you don't know what I'm talking about...there was a glitch in the Tucson market where 10 secounds of an X-rated movie played right after Larry Fitzy scored a go-ahead touchdown. Pretty sweet!

Hotlanta Posted February 3, 2009 Posted February 3, 2009 Kind of a down year if you ask me. Not one ad was truly memorable that we will remember it in a few years. For me the best of the bunch is Hulu. Maybe i liked it better because i also like Alec Baldwin on 30 Rock.

Loved the gold golf clubs and gold toilet. Also liked the Dorito and Career Builder commercials ('Koala Punch' and 'Hey Dummy' was classic)! I thought that the 3D commercial for the new movie really didn't seem all that "3D" even with the glasses. I kept running up to the tv and then backing away looking for some 3D action...wtf, did anyone else see 3D in this promo?? Did I need to see this in high-def or something? The Pepsi one had a bit more 3D effects with the lizards...still lame tho.

Nope seeing those ads on HDTV did nothing to enhance your experience. It was a pretty lame experience all the way. Even the episode of Chuck last night had no real 3-D effects to speak off. The only thing you got was a headache.
coolhandluke Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 ^But Chuck had The Greatest Song Ever prominently featured in three separate scenes (the triathlon competitions, using the intro, the "Venus!" verse, and the guitar solo), so that makes up for the lack of 3-D. But yes, the 3-D was a bit pointless.

Anyway, my favorite this year is a tie between the Careerbuilder.com one and the Monster.com commercial with the moose.
