coastb2 Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 If you happen to never finish this, send it to me to finish.
Real Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Woah dchighheat, your coaster fully kicks the A$$ right off of the one i was about to post.... Oh well! This is something I'm working on at the moment, tentatively entitled 'Revenge: I'll Show You!!'. Basically, I have got some really crappy ratings over on NL Coaster Exchange, and I'm trying to make my best ever ride to show that I can actually 'do' No Limits. Sad, eh?  Anyway, here is as far as i have got.  It comprises a steep drop, ejector + floater air, ejector air again, a big lateral push, and low and fast ejector hills.  Not sure if i will finish it though.  I have a feeling the PTC's would never make it through some of those transitions. Do you check for wheel hits?
Sasquatch Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 ^ I noticed one or two *marginal* wheel hits, so I have changed the trains to Millenium Fliers. However, this is doesn't make it a GCII coaster, so don't expect an end product as such!
haux Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Just change the transitions. If there are only a couple of marginal hits, surely you can change the banking and transition so they don't hit.
Sasquatch Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 The transitions are fine, its just i think i was pushing the limit of what a PTC train can actually do. Thanks for the advice though! Â This project is currently being regularly updated in its own thread, please have a look!
KDCOASTERFAN Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Blue Flash's trackwork is completed,I just have to finish up the supports then it's ready for release but due to the brakes not working properly it can only operate one train.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 What's wrong with the brakes? Â They're not stopping the trains at all, even when set to block mode & complete stop. What's the best setting to use?
haux Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Turn the G-force up, or make the start of where the brakes kick in at the beginning of the segment. Can you take a screen shot of your brake settings now?
Real Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 make sure the segment is long enough to engage the train...maybe move the position it starts braking up to the beginning of the segment and starts with the front car. Um...
Vintage Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Here's a little sneak peek as to what I'm working on now. Â
krosscoasters Posted September 29, 2009 Posted September 29, 2009 Looks pretty good. I could never make a good looking B&M in Rct2.
Vintage Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 For some reason I'm good at making B&M's it takes me a while though. And I'm good at Intamins, and GCI's. I suck at scenery though...
KDCOASTERFAN Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Turn the G-force up, or make the start of where the brakes kick in at the beginning of the segment. Can you take a screen shot of your brake settings now? Â I'll try to get a screen in the editor & perhaps I should just save the brakerun as an element from either one of the pre built rides or a downloaded track for use on future projects?
haux Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Saving the brake run as an element won't save the settings. You'll just have a straight segment. Try uploading your ride in the NoLimits help thread. That way we can download it and see what your problem is. Â But I think you need to look at settings on other rides' brakes to see what you're doing wrong. You also should read the instructions because brakes aren't that hard. Â Turn the deceleration G-force setting of the brakes up, play with the speed in which they activate and the hysteresis. Change the position of the train and the position of the segment. There are a few reasons your brakes probably aren't working, and those really are the only reasons. Or is your brake too short? You can't have a 10-foot brake segment stop a 50-foot train with realistic G-force settings.

panther33 Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 read below SCR52.bmp Here is my new standup for my new park... named Chang
Reon Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 ^No its the actual ride. They bought it from Six Flags and is using some unknown secret technoledgy to take real world objects into cyberspace.
KDCOASTERFAN Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Looks like I got the brake problem sorted out,now I just gotta do supports & Blue Flash will be ready for release.
BelgianGuy Posted October 5, 2009 Posted October 5, 2009 Here goes  Just some little goofing around Design.bmp
