spaceace12
I arrived at 9:15 and got a parking spot in the second row of general parking. I waited for a while for Big Mike (he showed up later than he thought). I went and grabbed a gold flash pass and waited a while longer. Then I headed to Evel Knievel and used my flash pass and got on right away. I walked up to the station and who was there....Big Mike and Iggyace and family waiting for a back seat ride. I rode and waited for them and did some rides. By about 2pm we all got hungry and went to the nearest Papa John's, it had about a 30 minute wait just for food and this was the pretty good compared to later. Since most people don't read this far, I will start with photos now. When I left, I noticed every single parking spot in preferred parking, general parking, and anywhere else anyone could park a car, had cars parked. Turkey Leg What can this huge line be for? Full que. This guy looks like someone Big Mike would know. No loose articles allowed on Tony Hawk, but people don't understand what happens to hats. Was going to photoshop Big Mike into the hole, but I changed my mind. Have no idea what hte plan is for this. Sign at the old lower entrance. I like the sign. Eagle's cue went all the way through all the switch backs and into the midway. nagro5
The wave on Tidal Wave is strong! How strong you ask? Well, strong enough to knock the earings out of my moms ears.
CP_RULES
Was this on a Saturday? You couldn't pay me to go to SFStL on a Saturday! I've NEVER seen a full queue on Screamin' Eagle, I don't even want to hear about the waits on B:TR or Boss! Anyways, how did Big Mike like EK? spaceace12
Yeah, it was on Saturday, and Batman was almost back to the entrance and boss was almost back to the bridge at the entrance. I broke one of my many rules that I normally go by, don't go to a park in July or August before schools in. But Big Mike was there and so I went. I think Big Mike liked it. Speaking of EK, it is now my number one. Why....Smooth, front seat has ejector air, all seats have airtime galore, and it is quiet. It doesn't have as much air as Voyage, but Voyage isn't exactly smooth. Also, Not a single big up charge event was running (slingshot, go karts or sky coaster) which could have been popular the way the park was. CoasterFanatic
This guy looks like someone Big Mike would know. Funny you say that. He is an enthusiast and very nice. Can't remember the name, but I have talked to him and his wife several times. He is probably a member here.
spaceace12
He is, I said that in a sarcastic way. His screen name is flybobs or something, he is following Big Mike around. Well, not really, but he has been at quite a few places Big Mike has been.
TheRapidsNerd
Very cool. Will have to stand on the bridge sometime and get drenched, though it might trigger Old Mill Scream flashbacks. Lol! Man, I so want a turkey leg now.
Six Flags Addict
DUDE!!! Man those crowds look insane! At least the weather wasn't in the 100's again...Me and my drama team were up at a camp in Hannibal (yes where Tom Sawyer is based) and it was only like 85. I just hope the crowds aren't terrible tomorrow since most schools start Thursday. Oh and what did Big Mike think of the park?
spaceace12
I think he liked it. We will find out soon enough, he was heading to a few parks in the Branson area today.
IggyACE
Adam, nice to have meet and hung out with you yesterday. I couldn't believe that the parking lot was FULL and cars were being parked on the grass. Seems we didn't get away from the crowds as the Gateway Arch was also very busy when we got there. Evel Knievel is a good ride but not worthy of my #1 spot! Doesn't even break my top ten, but a good ride for the park! Craig
Medusa1861
Oh Dodge Challenger... If only you could test drive one inside the park... I don't really get the slogan though 1970 to 2008 in 4.3 seconds. But ewww why the pics of the Dodge Caliber? Such a lame car...
spaceace12
That Caliber is the srt4 version, but I got a close up picture...it has rusted brake rotors. It has been at the park for a while.
