^I meant it was because it's a friday, but now I'm even more hopeful!

Good point since it is Good Friday, I would think tomorrow would be worse!

Haha, rain, Good Friday, and it's not Saturday!

Even though Good Friday might cause more families to come since they are off work and some schools are out.

^I've been hearing that it is just the right speed so that you do feel yourself "falling" but no so slow that it would become uncomfortable. I would still rather have a good old snappy corkscrew there, though

The chance of rain is 10% and looking out my window from my Mason compound it looks like a glorious day outside. Weather will not keep the crowds away. Friday and especially being Good Friday in a very Catholic city will keep the crowds away more than the 10% chance of rain. My family of 6 would be there today if it were a normal Friday. Love homeschooling.

PS spell check said I can't spell "very" "than" "window" and "today"

Looks like a really sweet layout, except that last twist at the end... Seems like the speed (or lack thereof) wod make the spin feel uncomfortable. (A la S:UF)

This was the only part of the ride that I didn't care much for although other people LOVED it, so go figure...

The inline into the helix is the best part of the ride to me. But the whole thing is very fun and well paced.

Everybody has their own opinion,It looks like something I might love, but I might also dis-like it who knows. Glad you had a great trip!

Here are a few photos and videos from last night. The quality isn't great, it's all from my phone. Had such a great time.

About 45 minutes in we were walking right up to the ride.

After the first hour they basically said to just pick whatever row. I have no clue where everyone disappeared to.

All these photos and videos are fantastic, thanks everyone. I'm excited to ride it sometime in the near future when I get the chance. The lighting looks awesome and the scream at the top of the lift is a nice touch.

It appears the trains enter the station quicker than on other inverts. It's this accurate or just my imagination? It looks like it'll help load as quickly as possible.

They load pretty quickly. It's a pretty constant flow. There were many times that you never stopped at the block before the station because the train in front of you was gone and headed up the lift by the time your ride is ending.

That is awesome!!! Your third photo I am in it! The person with the red shoes!!! Lol!!

Banshee is INCREDIBLE, but lord, riding it so many times in a row was a mistake. I lost count after 14 because they stopped making me get off and get back in line, and my head is still reeling.

The lack of a drop floor in the station makes me nervous my son will be too tall to ride. Is there a maximum rider height? He's 6-6 (78 inches), and already prevented from riding most or all Intamin inverts as well as their hypers. Two years ago he barely made it onto Skyrush.

We are going to be live tweeting from the Kings Island opening day today! Keep an eye on our Twitter feed!

Were will you be at today in the park??

Speaking of soreness, I definitely am feeling it in my arms from trying to keep my hands up on Banshee! Looking forward to some more work outs today. Should be interesting attempting to drive home tomorrow.

It was probably used today, considering that I don't think you can disable a magnetic trim.

I believe you can. I just don't know exactly how. Does anyone know?

On the example pictures you posted I reckon it works as follows.

Basically for the magnetic field to exist you have to have a pair of magnets opposite each other.

If you only had one half of the pair no magnetic braking would occur.

What seems to be happening is that the two halves can slide past each other. The more it slides along the less "overlap" there is between the two magnets and therefore the less length where a magnetic field is fomed where braking could occur:

Max braking:

--NNNNNNNN--

--SSSSSSSS--

Reduced braking mode:

--NNNNNNNN--

---------SSSSSSSS--
