kraken613
E3 is now a week away! This is my favorite time of the year in gaming! The big three Press Conferences from Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft! What do you think we will see? We will see Kid Icarus hopefully from Nintendo and all the games for the rest of the year. Animal Crossing and Wii Music most likely also. From Microsoft all I can think of is Gears of War 2........... Sony we will see LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2, and some others. We will also see Fallout 3 which is until Nintendo announces a game is my most anticipated title of the year! What else will you see or maybe see? chmilo24
I just want to see Guitar Hero 4. Especialy to see how the DLC for the Wii will work. Also, EA's fitness game for the Wii, since it is supposed to be better than Wii Fit. --Chris
Wes
$100+ price drops on PS3's would be nice.
thomas2
I would like to see Pikmin for the Wii announced.
chmilo24
^Yeah, I have been waiting forever for thenew Pikmin game. ^^It would also be nice for a 360 to have a nice price drop, but thats just me. --Chris
socalMAN123
^ Yeah, it would be nice to see the 360 to drop in price. But the 360 is actually good, unlike the PS3, IMO. ---Brent
Wes
^ If you take price out of the equation, what makes the 360 so much better than the PS3? I'm not trying to argue, I'm just trying to understand what makes the Xbox better at this point. I know the PS3 got off to a rocky start, but things seem to be evening out. Plus, don't the 360's have a high rate of failing? I know both Erik and Paul (Carnage) on here have had to return their systems to get fixed. And don't you have to pay to use Xbox Live or whatever? Homer
But Wes, the 360 has HALO and GEARS OF WAR, because two overhyped first person shooters should decide whether or not you buy a system, right? Anyways, what do I expect to see at E3: -Nintendo resurrects Punch-Out! and Kid Icarus. Nintendo WFC gets improved, hopefully... -Microsoft reveals a Blu-Ray 360 to make up for that HD-DVD catastrophe. -Sony will poke fun at themselves back in 2006 for their press conference attended by stunned console warriors. -Won't be surprised if some "battle of the bands" happens between Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero IV. -Lucasarts announces they're going out of business. -Sega show off more of a Sonic game done halfway right, Sonic Unleashed. -Capcom has Mega Man 9 playable (not happening since Capcom isn't attending, IIRC). Yankee cannonball
I'm guessing, -a lot of games for the wii balance board -SPORE. a LOT. (If EA is attending) -a lot of mud flinging between GH and Rock Band
chmilo24
-Force Unleashed seems really cool and I would like to see how Nintendo made it Wii capable, or how the wii-mote will make the game 10x better. --Chris
kraken613
I forgot about the 360 price cut of $50! PS3 actually has a more diverse library. 360 has FPS and racing games. PS3 has those and platformers and other things like that.
TheRapidsNerd
I'm interested in Animal Crossing for the Wii. Loved the DS version and enjoyed the GameCube version. Also interested in Kid Icarus. KI and Metroid were 2 of my all time faves on NES. Pics credited to whoever put them up. Found on Google Search. Kid Icarus game screens. The original NES box and big cartridge. Angry_Gumball
Kid Icarus was hard...could never pass the first level...how pathetic of me, lol...It is quite fun to play though...reminds me a lot of the first Metroid, endlessly jumping up vertical 'shafts' if you want to call it that. About the rest of E3, I'm mainly curious to see what kind of stuff the Balance Board is going to bring up, to see if I should get the balance board or not. I would not mind a snowboarding game or downhill/slalom type skating game done up on one of these.
Rct3man777
I'm seeing if a space themed game that's probably gonna be stupid and is related to the mideval Java-Scripted Game with somewhat-decent graphics that has absolutley no action whatsoever and is not realistic AT ALL which is made by jagex which some people would probably know is real. They trade it off every other year........ Infinity Ward is the better of the two.......... One more day!
chmilo24
Call of dudy 5 and Gears of war 2 are on the top of my list, espesially since COD5 is for Wii, but the 360 one will be better. --Chris

Here's why I like Xbox 360 over PS3 Xbox Positives 1. Halo 3 2. Forza Motorsports > Gran Turismo (yawn) 3. PGR > Gran Turismo 3. Elder scrolls 4 : Oblivion 4. Gears of War 5. Higher Ranked Games (see below) 6. Cheaper 7. I like the controllers better (personal preference) PS3 Positives 1. MLB 08 2. Free Online Gaming Higher Ranked Games, Here's what i mean. PS3 http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=top_rated&platform=1028&mode=all&sort=score&dlx_type=all&date_filter=all&sortdir=asc X360 http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=top_rated&platform=1029&mode=all&sort=score&dlx_type=all&date_filter=all&sortdir=asc X360 has more games with a 9+ rating, and a 8+ rating, exc. Sidenote-I also noticed on Gamespot that there "is no plain for a PS3 price cut" http://www.gamespot.com/news/6193650.html?action=convert&om_clk=latestnews&tag=latestnews;title;
coastrfreak2000
3. Elder scrolls 4 : Oblivion Oblivion is available for the PS3 as well. And although the console itself may be cheaper than the PS3, in the long run you'll pay more than the PS3 if you use Live.
Homer
^^Blu-Ray is obviously a big advantage now since HD-DVD is dead.
Carnage
And although the console itself may be cheaper than the PS3, in the long run you'll pay more than the PS3 if you use Live. I'd rather pay for a service which works well. Besides, Xbox Live isn't that expensive. The 360 has a much more robust game lineup then the PS3. However the trade off is the 360's horrid, horrid quality. The failure rate has been estimated on >30%, and that doesn't even factor in that they give you back refurbs, which are almost a sure thing to fail in under a year. MS had Sony down and out, but let them back in once 360s started dropping like fly's.
mcjaco
^ Yeah, but you're jaded. You've had your 360 crap out on you more than once. I've never had an issue with mine. I still like the 360 more, because of the game library. If I was in the market for a Blu-Ray player and a game system, I might lean towards the PS3. Might.
