X2coasterfreak Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Can't Get Away - Turnstile This band just put out a fantastic new album today, Time and Space. It's a really interesting blend of hardcore with some quirkier elements that aren't usually found in this scene, it's definitely worth a listen!
yay101 Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 Exodus, "Blacklist" Feeling a bit metal today
ytterbiumanalyst Posted February 23, 2018 Posted February 23, 2018 "We Could Be Free"--Vic Mensa feat. Ty Dolla $ign Fair warning: explicit language, explicit violence, and explicit message of equality. Preach, Vic. This is what we need to hear. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
Nrthwnd Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 "Last Dance" Donna Summer Coming to Broadway in April - SUMMER: The Donna Summer Musical. 3 Actresses playing Diva, Disco and Duckling Donna.

I've been listening to it constantly this week. It's like a combination of Bad Brains, Gorilla Biscuits, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Post Malone with a hint of Melvins.
Nrthwnd Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 "21 Days" Scott Helman Being sung LIVE right now, on CBC Radio2. I love this song!
Philrad71 Posted February 25, 2018 Posted February 25, 2018 A shout out to my family and friends in Philly on a nice, mellow Sunday morning...

ytterbiumanalyst Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 I've had U2's "Zooropa" stuck in my head all day for unknown reasons. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
Blind Idiot God Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Decrepit Birth - The Sacred Geometry
ytterbiumanalyst Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 ^ Wow, that's pretty good. Haven't heard of them before, and not sure how to pronounce it honestly, but I like it. My mid 90s kick is continuing today. [youtu_be] [/youtu_be]
Philrad71 Posted February 28, 2018 Posted February 28, 2018 ^^^ I'm more of a 'Check Your Head" kinda guy myself.
ytterbiumanalyst Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Ooh, cannot watch that one. That flashing....not good. They have a lot of good videos, but Sabotage is just the best. I actually listened to a bunch of their stuff again yesterday. I'm partial to Hello Nasty & To the 5 Boroughs, but I'm sure that's largely a function of age. I was 14 & 20 respectively when those albums were released, and that's prime Beastie age.
I Like Theme Parks. Posted March 1, 2018 Posted March 1, 2018 Pain Killer Iceage Umm....definitely didn't expect this track to sound the way it does. It's a fun song though.
boldikus Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 ^ Wow, that's pretty good. Haven't heard of them before, and not sure how to pronounce it honestly, but I like it. Kinda like it looks, sounds like "no such thing". n/p:

Dombot Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Doctor Worm - They Might Be Giants. Nothing like some classic alternative to start the day.
Philrad71 Posted March 2, 2018 Posted March 2, 2018 Keeping with the 90's vibe... I actually sang this for my family doing karaoke one time and they LOVED it! My Dad and his wife had never heard it before, but they were begging me to go out some night so I could sing it at a bar. My sister & Michael said that I sounded just like Michael Stipe. Yeah...right. LOL
ytterbiumanalyst Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Love R.E.M., and that's one of my favourites of theirs. Turned me on to Andy Kauffman. He was a f*cking genius, and absolutely underappreciated. Definitely some mental issues too, but every genius does.
