Tanks4me05
Believe it or not, this is coaster related. For the Behemoth Bash event, I'm bringing along my video camera and my Nikon (as I do for virtually every park) to film and photograph the... spontaneity... of the event to say the least. So, for the music video, I'm looking for some songs that have lyrics regarding Canada, preferably making fun of the country. I already have Canadian Idiot by Weird Al on the list, anyone have any more ideas? (I tried googling stuff, but I couldn't find anything else. I would use the ones that R&E used for their 2003 MarineLand video, but I want originality.) But before any Canadians start shooting me, I must say that these potentially derogatory songs are for pure comedic purposes only, as in reality, I think Canada is awesome. For example - Infinity Ward (makers of CoD4) and Bioware (the geniuses who made Mass Effect ) and, well, Behemoth. They also have the first coaster I remember and my second credit ever - MarineLand's Tivoli Coaster. Besides, I bet there are plenty of songs that make fun of America, except I never heard of any. (To be honest, I don't like my own "democracy kicks butt/McDonald's or DIE" country that much anyway. There are way too many problems with this country. But the coasters are fun. Carnage
Well there's the song "Blame Canada" from the South Park movie. I never really thought it made a good choice for a video though.
mcjaco
How can anyone forget EPCOT's "Canada (You're a Lifetime Journey)?" Canadaaaahhhh. My Canada. Cananadaaaaaah.
dougr
There's always the Hockey Night in Canada theme. Anything by Nickelback should work.
Carnage
There's always the Hockey Night in Canada theme. But only a Canadian would get that. Almost every non-Canadian that watches the video would go "What song is that??". It seems like he's looking for songs about/involving Canada. Not songs by Canadian artists. RBOrrell
I can't think of any derogatory songs about Canada and I live here. I think most songs about Canada are positive. In fact, most people don't know it, but "American Woman" by one of our more famous rock bands, The Guess Who, was actually an anti-American / pro-Canadian song. Tanks4me05
^I knew that. (Sarcasm not intended.) Also, I think I need to narrow down the search band: "Upbeat" funny Canada songs - Canadian Idiot is fast, and Canada You're a Lifetime Journey is kinda slow. Erik Johnson
Y,Y,Z by Rush. Well it is about Toronto's airport....right?
BarryH
Hmm...I thought about using Barenaked Ladies' "Enid" for the Behemoth bash if I attend. Here's a site of songs about Canada: http://members.shaw.ca/kcic1/songs.html
RBOrrell
If you are going to have some footage of Minerbuster, you could use Stompin' Tom Conners' "Tilsonburg". It's a song about a town that is in the middle of the tobacco growing area of Ontario. There is a phrase in it that suits Minebuster...... "How my back aches when I hear that word". Tanks4me05
^I'll have footage of the whole park. Not just the Mighty Canadian Rib Cage Buster. (Ok, I know I haven't been to CW before so for all I know, I could actually like the ride like Hercules.)

BarryH
I don't know why, but when I think of Canadian music, this song and band come to mind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaXVOD7PYj0

Absimilliard
Its from wrestling, but look for the "Mountie" theme song. I am the Mountie! I am the mountie and I enforce the law... You can try to run, but you could never hide! The Mountie always get my man! I'm the Mountie and I'm handsome! I'm brave! I'm strong! You get the idea? Add to that the wrestler, in complete mountie red suit and a cattle prod (back in 91-92!) and the real RCMP got so offended they sued the WWF to remove most references to them. In Canada, the wrestler had to use his real name too.
Vekoma Fan Boy
Why not Canadian Idiot from Weird Al? Kinda seems like the obvious choice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rt1_6uz_sVU
downunder
^You beat me to it, Weird Al pretty much sums it all up. When you consider how many torture machines there are at CW - Vekoma, Togo, Might Canadian Asspounder and so on, and then consder the huge attendance the park gets... cfc
^Yeah, I'd go with "Canadian Idiot" or "Great White North." Maybe you can throw in the theme from "Dudley Do-Right of the Mounties," too.

Tanks4me05
^ I like the lyrics, except it had too much talking. Also, I want a more fast paced song. So, imagine somewhat like Canadian Idiot, but with a faster pacing of the song, more up tempo.
