IwantRevenge Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Some footage of 2 S&S prototype rides. The first is The Egale family coaster which is similar to the 4D but instead of having the seats flip front and back, they go side to side. The second is Pirates Plunge which is a combo of a freefall tower and a water ride. I like what they have S&S really have some good ideas with a lot of potential.
coasterfreak914 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 That eagle coaster concept looks pretty cool. You might get some airtime going through those inversions. Pirates Plunge is okay. It appears that you won't get wet on the ride though.
sam06pr Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 the eagle coaster thingy looks really cool. The pirate plunge could be more fun if it has more water affects and higher drops
coastercrazed49 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 The Eagle Coaster definitely has some potential, but I'm not so sure about pirates plunge.
Xxhershey818xX Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 They could have water jets. but think about it. smaller drops will attract the kids. So it probably be a huge hit with the little ones.

IwantRevenge Posted December 2, 2007 Author Posted December 2, 2007 It's basically the result of a Water Ride, and a Frog Hopper combined. AlsoIi believe in the concept art they had water jets on a railing along the front of the ride.
TheRapidsNerd Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Interesting ideas for both and the Eagle seems to be following the shorter train/wider train trend in the past couple years. The whole time watching the first footage, I kept thinking "Oh look! An Eagle!"
stormrider Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Judging from the Eejanaika video, that eagle coaster will probably be very rough with its wide trains. Though the concept itself looks very fun to me!
coastercrazy216 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 I really like that eagle concept because it could become a watercoaster too. Go throughout all the roller coaster elements and then hit a splash down. It looks like a great concept that could be the solution to the "wide train" concept that people have been trying to tackle for years.
Vffreak07 Posted December 2, 2007 Posted December 2, 2007 Oh that'd be a great coaster! Make it fly through a forest and then at the end have it dip down into a watersplash! But yeah, I'd love to see this somewhere! It's a great idea! Actually, my brother got this star wars lego thing that was a starship or something and it had a rotating part and I came up with a coaster like this a couple years back (I knew I shoulda Trademarked it!) and drew it out, but now I can't find it. The only thing I'm wondering is- 1. Any restraints? 2. Since the trains are so large and can only hold two people per wing, how could/would they master the capacity issue?
IwantRevenge Posted December 3, 2007 Author Posted December 3, 2007 ^it's more than 2 people per train if you looke closely it's more like 8. I cannot image It would'nt have restraints.
VegasCoaster Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 I thought one of the big parts of the Pirate Plunge was the ability for it to have adjustable wetness so it could be used in parks as a more dry ride or a wet ride. Maybe they are just running it on a dryer setting.
thomas2 Posted December 3, 2007 Posted December 3, 2007 Both are very intersting rides. But the Eagle coaster looks very expensive for a family coaster. Like said before, the design of the trains are somewhat like the one's on X and Eejanaika so they will likely be kind of rough. But this is a family coaster with moderate speeds so I think it will be all right.
