socalMAN123
Hello fellow TPR members and Geoduck farmers- Well, as many of you know, TPR has just realeased a brand new DVD called Roller Coasters in the Raw! It's filled to the brim with POVs and offride footage. Sounds good, eh? So, upon the dismissal of school today, I got a ride home, ran out of the car, headed straight into my room, and found the holy grail. A nice yellow package was sitting there, waiting for me on my bed. I ripped open the packet, read the paper (thanks for the little note Robb! ) and placed the DVD into my DVD player. About 100 minutes later, the DVD was done and it's now time for me to review. So the verdict is...THIS IS AWESOME! Seriously, this is defenitly the best DVD I'm proud to say I own. The footage is amazing and I loved the commentary. The Woodies disc has a lot of coasters I have yet to go on and really showed off some of the best woodies the world has to offer! Balder looks especially awesome! The Steelies disc has more coasters that I am familiar with, but still haven't been on. And it was great also! Ejasuck was the best segment on the entire DVD, mainly because it was hilarious to hear Robb scream out in pain . So, overall, this DVD owns everything I have ever owned or watched. I will really enjoy this DVD and I will probably find myself watching it at least two or more times this weekend because it is THAT AWESOME! Thank you Robb and Elissa (and all those other people who helped make this DVD rock!) for giving the coaster world another world class DVD. You two are awesome! So, if you don't have this DVD, what are you waiting for?! Go into the TPR Store right now, and order it! Trust me, the $15-20 you spend is worth it! ---Brent
knottslover77
Great review, I need to see if i can get it for Christmas. --Jay
socalMAN123
^ Thanks! You should really get the DVD, it's defenitly worth it. ---Brent
Vffreak07
The only thing I'm worried about is the cover and stuff. My parents are super anal about anything innapropriate, and I really wanna see this, but as soon as I saw the "Unedited! Uncut!" Etc. . . I was like "Damn cover. . . "
socalMAN123
^ Yeah, beware of the Enjsucks's POV. It drops an f-bomb and countless other swear words. But, it is still the best thing on the DVD mainly because we get to see Robb suffer. ---Brent
robbalvey
Hey at least we do bleep it out! And the cover is just a parody. There really shouldn't be anything offensive about it at all. I think there is probably dirtier stuff shown on The Simpsons than anything on Roller Coasters in the Raw! --Robb
astroworldfan1
I like your review! Robb, you always try to put one shot of coaster porn on your photo trip reports, so cool!! Coasters in the Raw! Oh, so dirty!
odene497
I can't wait for this! But I have to wait until Friday before I'll be able to print out the thing to mail my check. It sounds awesome though! -Nick
texcoaster
^^^ err, that's why God invented PayPal. Put in my order for coasterporn as well as the trip collection that contained Astroworld footage. (sigh)
mindvirus
Yeah. From what I've seen on the raw Maverick video, this could be very good. I am only 12 so I don't own a credit card, so I cant buy it(my parents dont like using their credit cards online). So anyways great review. What was your favorite part of the DVD? I see you like it a lot.*hehe*
SharkTums
^You can also pay via check or money order through the store. Surely your parents will buy you a $15 dollar gift with a check through the mail, no?
mindvirus
I asked them. So far I actually know what I am getting for Christmas(hehe) A new bike and MAYBE a TPR DVD. Maybe I will go out and buy one of those Visa gift card things for myself if I dont get it.. Edited.

DRWP2005
Well I received my “Roller Coasters in the Raw,” just the other day, right before the holiday weekend, which was great because it gave me something to do this weekend. I must say this DVD set is awesome!! It covers pretty much all the new roller coasters that have been built around the world in the last 4 years or so. All the footage was amazing, and I was highly impressed with the quality of all the footage. Every ride is covered from multiple angles, with of course an incredible looking POV right in the middle of each segment. Without a doubt the best thing about this DVD set was the uncut footage of the rides. Before I started working in the industry about 5 years ago, I was able to travel and go see and ride all the latest and greatest creations. However now that I work in the industry 6 days a week, I haven’t been able to travel very much. This DVD set caught me up with the last 5 years in roller coaster innovation. I’ve read about them and seen pictures of them on-line, I have just yet to see videos of them, and this DVD did exactly that. This DVD set is a must have for any roller coaster fan! This DVD is the perfect holiday gift for any coaster lover. And for those of you worried about what your parents might think because of the cover…don’t worry there’s nothing offensive in it at all. For only $15, you get to travel around the world and ride all the latest creations in the roller coaster world. This DVD set is great and I hope TPR comes out with many many more of these! weatherfreak
RAW, it totally rocked, thanks yet again guys. I have been trying to convert/divert as many aussies to your site as possible. I fucking love it Now I'm sorry if it's your mate but "What's in a brain"' is the worst thing I have ever bought, including christmas bon bons with bad hats and toys that kill small children. I have a rather demented demeanor and I'm up for anything but OMG!!!!!!! Shocker. Maybe I shouldn't have stopped my Zoloft. Anyhoo, it will have no impact on my love for TPR and getting as many friends to check it out as possible, keep em coming, your work is second to none. We have no decent coasters where I live so you guys supply my porn, luv ya guts
CoasterWarriors
Theme Park Review has done it again! Great job! I got my DVD and Robby Robb Shirt last friday and I was planning to hang out at my friend house to watch movies. I thought I should bring this DVD and see what they say... We first watch "Transformers" and then we watch it! We had a little fun just by sitting front of the big TV and pretend that we were riding it. Here is my review on the DVD. Disc 1: Woodie I enjoyed the woodies without a headache. It was great! Some roller coasters has brought back a great memory from my summer trip at Beech Bend Park and Holiday World. I enjoyed the view riding it backward and forward. I love it! El Toro looked pretty cool! I can't wait to ride it some day! Disc 2: Steelie This was a lot more fun watching it at my friend house on the big screen. We tried to pretend going upside down while watching the video. It was pretty challenging for us due to the gravity. Abmiso was look sweet and oh Ejankia (*however you spell that) look painful... LOL. Overall, I enjoy and admire Robb talent's in creating a POV and offride video of each roller coaster individually. Well done! I also include a picture of me riding on the Roller Coaster in the RAW! Great DVDs! You should get it!

texcoaster
Guru has a projection TV with a "wall-it" sized screen. I'm definitely heading over there when the DVD hits the mailbox! As soon as I sell my loft and get a house, I'm having my boyfriend make me a mockup of a PTC car for watching videos.
CoasterWarriors
Thanks. I hope everyone get it and watch it on the big screen! It's fun! Maybe install SeeSaw with PTC train in the living room and it will be your homemade motion stimulator which is cheaper then $1,000 plus from manufacture. You control your destination! or Enjoy TPR! supertrooper
I received my video the day after Thanksgiving. I saw the mailman coming, and figured I would get it that day, but when I checked the box after he left...it wasn't in there. 2 minutes later, the mailman came back with it...I know he wanted to steal it but had second thoughts. Anyway, I really enjoyed both videos. I had previously purchased a similar "raw" coaster video, but there was no off-ride footage of the coasters on that video, and if you've never been on the ride, then it's kind of hard to follow the layout and imagine the experience. Every coaster in these videos had great off-ride footage. My Wooden disc won't play in one of my DVD players, but that's not a big deal. Well worth the money. Woohoo!
