Kennyweird
Looking great! Does anyone besides me think that the station looks kind of like a church?
Ccron10
^ I do, but it seems layed out similar to SR's station. I have posted a TR about my trip here. http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=42957 I have a bunch of new Fahrenheit and park photos too from the trip. knowit
I drove by HP today to take a gander at FH. It looks impressive. The cobra element on that thing is very tight and compact, but tall. Looks kind of weird and intense.
Ccron10
I just realized this. I don't know if this matters, but the station's elevator is at the upper left-hand corner of the station; the entrance is supposed to be down at the lower right-hand corner. Usually the elevator entrances on the coasters are the closest to the entrance. I wonder if there's going to be a short path going under the final turn to hold the ride's main entrance, the handicapped entrance and the new entrance to Tidal Force Catering? yankees15
^ I know a lot of coasters have the elevator shaft on the opposite side of the station. I would guess it would make it easier for handicapped to get on the ride because there is less congestion. Some examples are Talon and Steel Force. Ccron10
Here's a BIG suprise! A friend of mine, (HPCrazy) went to HP yesterday and took some AWESOME photos of Fahrenheit. http://coaster-net.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=8307&st=0&gopid=179946entry179946 Fahrenheit's track is finally completed! yankees15
^^ Thanks for those pictures. The ride will be awesome just by how tight it is. Also, I loved that last picture with the sun on the drop!
odene497
I have a question: That one picture where the caption something like "you better be looking up", the supports don't really look bolted into the footers. I noticed this on Maverick too before it was open. Do they keep the bolts on the footers loose until the track is complete, and then tighten them all at once? yankees15
^All coasters are like this in the stage right after the track is finished. Once everything is in place, they permanently cement the footers to the supports. This stage of cementing should take place very soon. Within the next few weeks. NachoR
Love the pics! This ride is honestly spectacular in person. I'm definitely gonna try to remember to bring my camera to work on Saturday or Sunday so I can come back into the park after I'm done working and take some photos. And I'll take some shots of the large sign in Comet Hollow that serves as a precursor to Hershey's 2009 attraction. It reads.... Something cooler is coming... 2009 attraction revealed July 1. I doubt it would have any relevance, but the Coal Cracker was all torn apart. We'll see!
Kennyweird
According to Screamscape, Fahrenheit could be testing as early as Sunday. That's good, 'cause I really want to see what the trains look like.
Ccron10
(4/18/08) Screamscape sources tell us Fahrenheit may start to make test runs as early as Sunday. ^Maybe somebody might be able to get pics. I'm just wondering what the trains will look like.

ghost007jas
^^ Okay, we get it, your excited, thank you. Looks like a nice coaster, still set to open next month, right? Are any of the Nantimi 11 still planning on heading out for the first ride?
CoasterEricHP
^ I still plan on being there. I guess we never figured out who all 11 were? This is the first day its open to the public. I wonder when the media day will be?
ghost007jas
^ Did we never find out? I thought there was someone emailing all 11.
CoasterEricHP
^ I could be wrong but I thought from the start we had problems finding all 11 because they were spread over a bunch of different websites. I doubt there will be any testing for Fahrenheit today because the weather is looking pretty nasty outside! The webcam still says 4-18 too. Maybe they are hiding some kind of new train! ...... ok probably not...
fahrenheit1315
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ the webcam only works during the week not weekends which stinks but its been like that
Kennyweird
^^ I don't even know if the trains are assembled! It could be that this testing business was just a wild rumor.
CoasterEricHP
Ohhhh.. that's kind of dumb to only have a webcam that works during regular business hours! lol. Well.. judging by the webpage.. it looks like they will just be Storm Runner trains only silver. Guess thats a good thing!
Ccron10
Looks like Fahrenheit, Howler, and the Boardwalk might open up a little earlier this year. Screamscape: (4/21/08) We’ve heard that Fahrenheit may soft-open to the public on May 21st. We’ve also heard a rumor that the Boardwalk may also soft-open on the same day, even though both are officially not supposed to open until May 24th. If so, then only 1 month until we experience Fahrenheit.
