Hersheypark Announces Fahrenheit!

Recommended Posts

It doesn't make sense that all the other letters you guys have pointed out seem to be part of a "set" but I can't see anything in that one picture that would lead me to believe there is anything there follows suit.

Now that I see it all laid out, someone has clearly gone in and added letters. But I really do not see one in that picture that everyone is having trouble with.

^^Yeah, I'm with you on that.

Something just doesn't seem right about the solutions that have come up. Either there's something missing that will come later or there's not a puzzle at all.

I know I'm not helping or anything, but some of you have spent a lot of time on this and I just don't see where it's going.

I going to have to say it's a letter since there really isn't anything behind it except for the sky and it doesn't look like a part of track.

Again, though, all the other letters up to this point have been white and obviously letters. It COULD be a "I," though - I'd LIKE for it to be an "I" - but I think it's more likely that it's just something off in the distance.

EDIT:

Either there's something missing that will come later or there's not a puzzle at all.

Yeah, I'm sure there are floating letters all around that coaster waiting to have their pictures taken.

If it's not a puzzle, what are the letters for?

^ Yeah, I would put my bets on that there IS a puzzle in there somewhere. Especially now that you guys have pointed out the photoshopped letters into the pictures.

Honestly I really didn't see that! I thought you guys were REALLY insane going "Well the lift hill looks like an N" .....

But knowing the past marketing campaign and that the ride is close to opening, and that only some photos were sent to certain people, I would put bets on it being some kind of puzzle.

Yeah, call me crazy, but given that they are hinting at a water attraction for next year, I think Natalie might be on to something with her "MINNESOTA" discovery. After all, Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes. Maybe I'm digging too deep though.

^^Yeah it could, but why would Minnesota have anything to do with The Boardwalk?

I also just thought of something. If that missing letter is a U, You will be able to spell TSUNAMI. If you think back, the park "accidentally" released logos saying Tsunami.

Which gets me thinking... Could this be the name of the possible new wave pool?

Assuming that Photo #6 is meant to be a space, and that photo #3 has a letter, we can assume that our unscrambled answer is two words. I have broken down some of the possabilities given the different letter choices for #3:

  • A:
Maintain Ovens - Fits with the theme
Envision Manta - Sounds like more of a Sea World hint
    Native Mansion - Indian casino?
Atone Minivans - Yes, we should atone for all our sins, including minivans

  • C:
Mac Inventions - The Nantimi 11 get iPods?
    Scam Invention - They don't?
Omniscient Van - Even if they're omniscient, they should still atone
Mini Covenants - Not to be confused with Minnie Covenants, which are at Disney

  • D:
Invent Domains - How about stopplayinggameshershey.com?
Mad Inventions - A 97* coaster certainly qualifies
Stoned Minivan - Hey, wasn't there a stoned minivan in the movie Cars?

  • E:
Insomnia Event - What all these puzzles cause
    Intensive Moan - See above

  • G:
Mating Venison - I think I saw that on the Discovery Channel
Van Moistening - So now the stoned omnipotent vans are moist?

  • H:
    Ham Inventions - Mmm, ham...
    Sham Invention - Mmm, sham...
Honest Minivan - Good, I was starting to mistrust them after the whole moist thing

  • I:
Native's Minion - Sounds like a decent ride name

  • J:
Jam Inventions - Combine this with the "Ham Inventions" and we could have ham jam!

  • K:
Minivan Tokens - One token per ride?
Mask Invention - Maybe a mask could help me come up with witty comments

  • L:
Stolen Minivan - Oh no! The poor honest, moist, stoned vans!
Slam Invention - Hopefully the ride doens't end with anyone slamming into anything

  • M:
Novas Imminent - Sounds more like a Space Mountain theme

  • N:
Man's Invention - No women designed this coaster

  • P:
Map Inventions - Brought to you by: Garmin

  • R:
Remnant Vision - This is all that's left after you stare at the sun
Servant Minion - Isn't that redundant?
Tenor Minivans - I prefer my vehicles to be sopranos
Main Inventors - Well, we know they're men (see above)
Arm Inventions - I thought Project Strongarm was at IoA
Mars Invention - Again, sounds more like a Space Mountain theme

  • S:
Stone Minivans - Chevy: Like a Rock
    Mass Invention - ACE?

  • T:
    Mast Invention - It's a sailboat!

  • U:
Mountain Vines - Not a bad name for a terrain coaster

  • W:
Invite Snowman - A hint as to the identity of passenger 12?

  • V:
Insanity Venom - Mmm, insanity venom

Updated!

At a request from Robb, here's a summation of what we've got so far:

HersheyPark has e-mailed a handful of people new (and numbered) photos of Fahrenheit. Each of these photos have a letter hidden in them (although there has been some debate as to the existence of a letter in picture #6) and so far, these are the letters found:

I M L V A _ T N E I O S N N

(The dash represents the letter we can't find in picture #6, though perhaps the lack of a letter means there's a space)

You can view these pictures with the letters circled on this page.

Given that no English words end in "OSNN," (do correct me if I'm wrong) many of us believe that these letters are an anagram for something. A post a couple above me has many examples for possibilities, and I have also come up with a few suggestions:

1. "Minnesota" can be found in these letters, with a few left over, but that doesn't seem to make sense for a park that's in PENNSYLVANIA (am I right, or am I right?) Though Scott did suggest that perhaps it has something to do with the "cooler 2009 attraction" Hershey has hinted at, given that Minnesota is the State of 10,000 Lakes.

2. A more likely possibility that I've discovered is "Intamin (M)oves (I)n*." The letters in the parentheses are ones that I'm merely assumimg, since there are still two letters missing.

*Intamin could also be Nantimi. Everyone remember that crazy thread? Good.

(EDIT:And in the time it took me to post this, #3 has been posted and the letter is L. There goes theory #2.)

3. And just recently, it's been pointed out that "Tsunami" can be found among the letters. Again, this could be pointing towards the 2009 attraction HP is winking and nudging us about.

And lastly, for those of you who think that we're all reading WAY too much into this, just remember that the ones who really got into it last time were handsomely rewarded. And for those of you who think that we must all have way too much time on our hands, well, yes. Yes, we do.
