Am I the only person not impressed by the Norwegian loop??? Anyone else who's ridden Speed Monster agree with me?

I've never experienced one, but I think that this one looks like (as in appearance, not quality) pure crap. It looks like a saggy, semi-pretzel-shaped poo. Seriously, I'm not lovin' it like I was in the crappy NL promo.

I would assume that the Cobra Roll is complete by the looks of the webcam. Now just the station track connecting the brake run need to be finished. Can't wait to check it out on Sunday!

..it looks a-mazing! Does anyone know if it will be open by Memorial Day weekend? I'm headed home from Pittsburgh that weekend (ps- i know it will be crowded, thanks) and it'd be sweet (pardon the pun) if I could stop in and ride it!

It would make sense, but the engineers could add the bottom wheels on later after the car is placed on the track.

Fahrenheit looks just fantastic! I hadnt planned on making it to Hersheypark this yeat (when gas will be ridiculous) but I just may have to break down and do it. I never knew this park had such exhilirating rides.

Gonna hafta go now.

I think they have left out the peice of track that connects the brakes to the station out so they can put the trains on the track? Would they even have to do that?

Don't they usually assemble the trains on the transfer/storage track usually? From the pics I saw it looked like this was the case when SFMM was assembling the new X2 trains.

I went twice last year and I absolute love Hershey Park. It is definatlely one of my favorite parks. I recommend you going. Hit up Dorney which is on the way to Hershey if you can. Knoebels as well.

I ended up hitting up Hershey for about 2 1/2 hours tonight and it was awesome! Lines were very minimal.

Anyway, Fahrenheit looks AMAZING in person! This coaster is so tight and compact! The drop is going to have ridiculous airtime and the inversions are going to be intense. I cannot wait to get back to Hersheypark during the summer to try this ride out. It is going to be one of the best coasters.

For those who went to Hershey Park today, did anyone else notice the large banner across the river from Comet that said something along the lines of "Something cool coming 2009 - announcement July 1st"?

Posted

No I did not notice that. I really wasn't looking around I was just trying to get as much coaster ridding in as possible in my limited time frame. If I had to guess, I would say it is definitely a Boardwalk expansion.

Me and my dad went both days and the fahrenheits station has three tracks that pivot side to side somewhat like mr freeze does. That is why the final peice isnt connected because they have to add the switch/interlocking peice . The trains havent arrived yet and the 2009 expansion to the boardwalk will DEFF not have a wave pool

^I might be wrong, but I think those three track pieces are just the transfer track. That is the track the trains are put on when they are not in use. The main track will move to each of these tracks, but only to add or remove a train.
