^ I know, right? It totally vanished into thin air. Once I found out it was gone, I was all "Oh my GOD! I loved that ride!".

I hope the Top Spin goes in its old location, it has a cool 360 dagree view of Vortex all around it.

I couldn't find a pic, but I did find a video of the ride cycle. I hope GA would improve the cycle because that's pretty much the same as Voodoo's cycle except this one flips a couple times more.

Maybe I caught it on a good day, but when I went to SFDK, Voodoo was running the best program I have ever ridden! Tons of flips and at the end, when the ride is suppposed to swing forward after being in the holding position, we didn't until we went all the way upside down! It was probably the worker jsut having fun and making our day. I really don't want a mediocre program at GA.

Great America could sure benefit from one or two of Geauga Lake's coasters. C'mon Cedar Fair, the park has not received a new coaster since Psycho Mouse in 2001. I do not count Survivor as it is not listed on RCDB.

It would be nice, but none of GL's coasters would be a good match for GA.

Dominator, Steel Venom, Beaverland Mine Ride, Headspin, THunderhawk all are in some shape or form at SFDK an hour up the road. Maybe Villain, but I don't think any of the woodies from GL are going anywhere.

^ It would rock...after they could find a way to fit it in there.

I've seen Dominator in person and believe me, it is in no way a small or compact ride. It covers a lot of land and has a very strange footprint. Even if Great America were to take out Grizzly, Dominator STILL wouldn't fit.

Isn't it already pretty much known (like it was already well-known-before-any-official-announcement with the other 2 already removed GL coasters) Dominator will open next year at PKD?

Personally I'd love to see Grizzly and the outdated/castrated Demon removed, all that cleared underutilized land would be more than enough for a new themed area that included both a huge new steel and new wood coasters. Or rip down the gutted pictorium building, combine with the old Whizzer site and viola! Huge plot of open land for even more rides.

^NO! Don't take out Demon, that's one of the Marriott classics! That's like taking Matterhorn out of Disneyland. As for Grizzly: tear that crap down! What REALLY confuses me about the Paramount era is why they took down Tidal Wave (Greezed Lightnin') and Stealth, which were two excellent coasters, yet they left Grizzly here to rot (almost literally).

^^ No, the Demon in Gurnee is a Marriott classic. After KECO and Paramount had their way with our Demon, it's just a sad boring castrated outdated pathetic version of what a fun ride it used to be.

But I totally agree about Grizzly, made no sense whatsoever.

^Actually you have a point there, but hey its still awesome. Plus ours takes the corkscrews at a faster speed...I think.

I think everyone on TPR agrees that Grizzly should be burned, or bulldozed. Now that would be fun to watch.

Why couldnt they just expand into the main lot, add a few big coasters and stuff, then use the rest of the main and overflow lots for parking? 2 maybe 3 nice coasters could be put in. Besides, the main lot is never full and they obviously dont even use the overflow lot. So the park does have room to expand.

CF doesn't own the overflow lot, The City owns the lot and all the land GA sits on, which is why CF has no say so whether a stadium goes there or not. Also why you see a hotel and office buildings in GA's parking lot. The City uses the overflow lot for the convention center too, GA only has use of it on a as needed basis.

That would be so cool if GA could get Batman & Robin: The Chiller from SFGA. (But different name of course). GA really needs it! They could put it where Greased Lightnin was. Maybe for 2009? I so hope so!
