coasterdude5
Update Year 20 HERSHEY HAWAII - The park announced a three-year celebration for their park that is now 20 years old! "We're having a great run, and we're adding so much, we have decided to break it up into three additions each a year apart," said a general manager. The park is planning on adding a coaster, a hotel, and other attractions. Each will be announced a year apart. This year the park has dropped all prices across the board and have made general improvements to the park along with adding a massive waterfall near the front gates. The park opens for its 20th season tomorrow. The Chocolate Express coaster has closed to make way for the Year 21 family coaster. Ah, opening day of Year 20! Oronga is still bringing in the longest lines at the park. Chocolate Express closed... Last ride from the original four. Last group of riders. This year's "addition" was this cool waterfall at the front entrance plaza. Well, it blocks the parking garage. That's a signature shot right there. The roar it creates really adds to the atmosphere of the front park. Way to start of your 20th, Herhsey. Well, all original coasters from the Hawaiian Escape days are gone... More soon. awclark
I still think Mine Mountain could make a triumphant return. For all the fans sake. This park is amzing though. You've put so much work into this. Can't wait to see wait kind of coaster you add next (or what you remove next. haha)
coasterdude5
Update Year 20 Alright, I've heard some stuff on this ride: it's going to be a family spinner. Now whoever makes it, I don't know. It could be a wildmouse, but it could also be a mack. Whatever it is, it will crossover the path multiple times so I think we can rule out a Zamperla or Reverchon wild mouse. Any ideas? Now to some general random stuff, here's a never-before-seen shot of INISDE the bumper cars! The park wasn't too crowded today. Twizzler... through the trees. It's cool to walk down the boardwalk and see this. Kaena is still soaking peeps. I'm Oronga - I tower over everything else. This is the most intense part of the ride. The lift hill... reaching towards the sky. More soon. An announcement will be made: Sunday, May 20th
coasterdude5
Update Year 20 Nothing has been happening lately, but I thought I'd check out the park anyway. Alot of people don't like Tigre, but this shot owns. New gates were installed last year. Another perfect shot. Coming up from the train station... I'm glad the ferris wheel is still there. This midway is pretty bare (it always has been) Tidal Wave is still smooth and intense, it hasn't begun to show its age (15 years) at all. Kaena kinda dominates this area of the park. Mount Hershey River Rapids is still doing alright. It soaks you alot more than the last one did. More soon. THE YEAR 22 ANNOUNCEMENT IS TOMORROW
coasterdude5
Comments would be cool. Update Year 21 Announcement J.RANCHER HAWAII - The park announced today plans for a new family spinning coaster for the Hershey Grove area of the park. "This ride has all of the elements that make up a family coaster," a P.R. representative stated in a press conference,"people of all ages will enjoy it." The ride is being constructed by Mack and is being constructed by Mack as well. The ride will stand 40 feet tall and will feature a twisted course, interacting with the path below. STATS Height - 42 feet Drop - 34 feet Speed - 35 MPH Length 1495 feet The park opens for the 21th season soon. The ride is really "crammed" in. The layout is crazy. Overview shot. It doesn't spin too much, surprisingly. The area looks different. Turnaround. The ride mainly consists of several tight turns. Another overview It really stands out. If you haven't guessed, J.Rancher is short for the Hershey candy - Jolly Rancher. Yet another coaster to the crowded lineup. I guess that leaves the hotel to be added next year. I think this could be the definition of overcrowded. More soon.
Myself
Another perfect addition to this great park. In your next report can we see some shots of it in action rather than just the lift hill? I've been following this park for a while, and I truly love it. I'd definitely make a stop by if it was a real park. Keep up the good work! coasterdude5
Update Year 21 Well, we're ending Year 21... alot has been going on lately. I've never noticed how good of a shot you can get from the bridge over to Hershey Grove. Tidal Wave's second powerful vertical loop. This ride is very photogenic. This is the best part of the ride, the flat spin over the path. Now, what we've been waiting for since day one - construction in the vacant area. I'm guessing it's a hotel. More soon. The announcement should come any day now.
steel
I'm going to boggle your minds right now and make a slightly negative comment. I have to admit that I only started following this park today. It's really awesome. I love it. I would love for it to be my home park. But you're right, it's way overcrowded. First, the floorless is horrible. I can't stand it. It's a huge eyesore and I can barely look at pictures of it. It's way, way too big. I'm not big on Turbulence either. Same thing - it's an eyesore. And you need a LOT more flat rides. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new coaster though! It hits the spot perfectly! Don't get me wrong, I love the park. There are just a few issues.

coasterdude5
I'm not sure why everyone keeps asking for flat rides, the park has alot. coastercrazed49
Why a hotel you should of put in a water park! But what ever just make the hotel look good.
steel
I must admit, that was a little harsh, i think turbulence is awesome and original so is the floorless Turbulence is *okay.* It's really just the floorless that bothers me. It's huge and ugly and unrealistic, where the rest of the park is small and beautiful and pretty realistic. The park still does need flats, though. You're right, there are a number of them, but they need to be in balance with the coasters. I forgot to tell you how totally awesome Mine Mountain was and how mad I am at you for removing it. coasterdude5
How is Oronga unrealistic? I find it to be pretty ordinary, despite it being a few stories taller than most floorless coasters. I like criticism, you don't get any better without a little of it.
kraken613
The first iversion is what i dont like if it was built with the extended id like it better. I love the rest of the park. Im a bit worried about how the hotel will turn out.

asr
What is JRancher?? I've never heard about it. Jolly Rancher, hard candy made by Hershey. On topic, I don't really like Orogna either. It seems more like Schwarztkopf cranked up to mega size then a B&M, but I assume that is what you went for since it was intended to be a tribute to Viper.
