Year 26 Announcement

Two Attractions Return to Hershey's Hawaiian Escape

HERSHEY HAWAII - Two attractions will make a bold return this year to the park.

ZHAMBI SIDEWINDER

Formerly known as JRancher, this spinnning family coaster will return with a new look to the Zhambi Landing section of the park, featuring a new paintjob and even more spinning than before.

HERSHEY'S KISSING TOWER

The tower that has given millions of guests unforgettable views of the Hawaiian coast will now be the centerpiece of Hershey Grove area, occupying JRancher's former place.

Also this year, the park is liquidating all merchandise, so guests will have the chance to take home their memories of the park at a cheap price.

All new.

Only at Hershey.

The last portion of that press release gave me chills. Reread it.

This looks great, but it's not adding up.

Why would they relocate a brand new attraction to the other side of the park?

It does look cool in its new locale.

It also frees up some space.

I'm afraid I have some bad news to report (seems to be a pattern)

This old piece of Mine Mountain was found under Turbulence's queue. It had somehow been pushed under when they were hauling the track to the scrap yard, and it was eventually forgotten until Turbulence was removed. Looks like Mine Mountain won't be coming back...

More soon.

You know, will we ever see Seaworld Hawaii?

I handed off the file to one of my friends. Look for it later this summer.

Update

Year 26

The boardwalk pathway has been reworked a bit.

The railroad is also being re-routed for the 23098th time.

Good, they're gonna add a path around the whole ride.

Hershey's Kissing Tower's new location.

The queue was downsized alot.

More shots of nothing...

This looks alright, but I liked its old location better.

More soon.

Announcement of Closure

I got this letter in the packet in the mail today. It hasn't hit the press yet.

Dear loyal Hershey Hawaii guest,

We regret to inform you that the Hawaiian Escape themepark will not be reopening next year. Instead, we have some exciting news to inform you about:

The old Hershey Hawaii Resort

A new, fresh, reimagined Hershey Hawaii Resort

We are excited to be adding over a hundred new entertainment venues for your enjoyment.

With over one hundred stores, Hawaiian Bay-Lake Mall will have something for everyone, including over 30 restaurants and a 20 screen multiplex theater.

Auqana Aquarium will feature one rollercoaster from the former theme park. Zhambi Sidewinder will be rethemed to AquaRide, the world's first and only spinning interactive water coaster. The aquarium will be home to over 100 species of marine animals.

Shorewalk Street will showcase all of Hawaii's best entertainment all in one location. With live shows, eateries, and clubs, this venue is sure to be the most popular section of the new resort.

Hershey will also be adding 2 new hotels to accompany The Volcanic.

Expect the new resort to open in 2 years. The Volcanic will remain open.

Thank you,

Joe Ward,

Hershey Entertainment, Hawaii Division Rep

I have nothing to say.

Update

THE PARK IS SAVED

This was flashed across TV's all over the islands today.

THEME PARK TO OPEN FOR 27TH SEASON

HERSHEY HAWAII - Hershey announced today that they have overthrown the newly-hired board of directors of the Hawaiian division after making an announcement that was unapproved by the overall company.

"We are stunned to even think a move like this would have ever been thought of," a corporate rep stated,"this never would've gotten past the 'brain-storming' stage in corporate office."

Hershey announced all duties of similar nature will be done in Hershey's headquarters in Pennsylvania.

The park will open in a few days, the park will make a ride announcement tomorrow.

Whoa, that was a close one...

I did hear some bad news, apparently the board ordered for Hershey's Xtreme Cup Challenge to begin destruction. From what I've heard, too much had been damaged in the process (they planned on tearing the entire building down), so it looks like one attraction will not be returning...

At least the rest of the park will.
