So this spring break (March 12-17) I'm going to Knotts and Universal. I LOVE Knotts, especially Silver Bullet! I'm also so excited because I'm going to Universal for the first time! (I spent all my time as a kid at Disneyland and Knotts) (seriously, I did )

Does anybody know what hours Knotts is open on March 15?

Also, is it possible to go to Universal in one day, or should I go for two?

Thanks!

^ don't think USH's Mummy ride is anything spectacular, since USF's version is so much better. Then again, the backwards part is kind of neat.

what are the diff's between the two??

I recently went to Universal Hollywood. I don't recommend it. There's basically nothing there. Orlando's Revenge of the Mummy is 100 times better. It's not worth the outrageous admission price, and you'll only get one credit.

thanks for the advice.

but can anyone tell me what the actual diff's are? is it subtle theme'ing?

is it a different track? better animatronics? help a brutha understand!

^ All of the above. Completely different layouts, Florida has awesome airtime. Completely different stories and theming: Better effects (real fire!), way better animatronics, the "fake" ending...

The only downside to Florida's is that it lacks a real backwards section, but everything else makes up for it in spades.

Hollywood's doesn't.

Technically Hollywood's has a backwards section and Florida's really doesn't...but the backwards adds nothing.

thanks all, i guess now i have to save my money for Florida.

i had a trip planned and everything but it got canceled on a count of touring.

I WISH MY TOUR WAS GOING TO FLORIDA!

I also think the coaster part in Orlando is far superior. You can get a pop of airtime in the back seat when you go over the launch hill. Hollywood's version doesn't launch up a hill, and thus has no airtime. And, I agree with Elissa in that the backwards section is pointless. Then again, I'm pretty much against backwards riding in general.

I think USH is good for a visit if you've never been. The studio tour is pretty good. USF is a lot better, though.

To be fair, USH's Mummy isn't a bad ride...it's just not even close to the best ride. There's a lot better and a lot worse out there. It's still fun, but don't go in expecting anything amazing. That pretty much sums up USH too. Nothing that makes you say "WOW," but you can spend a hassle free day (or half a day, or whatever you chose) and still have a fun on some decent attractions and see some decent shows.

But at least Hollywood has the better control room, offices, and breakroom...
