PirateTinkerbell
So this spring break (March 12-17) I'm going to Knotts and Universal. I LOVE Knotts, especially Silver Bullet! I'm also so excited because I'm going to Universal for the first time! (I spent all my time as a kid at Disneyland and Knotts) (seriously, I did ) Does anybody know what hours Knotts is open on March 15? Also, is it possible to go to Universal in one day, or should I go for two? Thanks!
Gnome
http://www.knotts.com/park/guest/hours.shtml#march Its generally a good idea to search on the site for this information as its always there. Anyways, have fun when you do go. I reccommend going the week when the park will most likely be dead. This will deliver the best Knotts experience. PirateTinkerbell
Thanks! Yeah, I love going to Knotts! I haven't been back since last July, so I'm excited to go again! The small problem is: I checked their website and they don't have a March calendar up yet...
jamesdillaman
^ Try the link above, also don't plan on riding Xcellerator, as it appears it will be closed for rehab while you are there. Besides that, have fun. -james dillaman
SharkTums
You don't need more than a day at Universal Hollywood.

Gnome
^ well, seeing as how the studio tour is about an hour long I think that's a bit of stretch
Jeezus Juice
^Yeah, like he said, an hour should do it.
knottslover77
I don't know what day the 15th is, but Monday to friday the hours are usually 10am to 6pm,10am to 10pm on Saterday, and on Sunday 10am to 7pm. --Jay
laqueefa
is the Mummy ride worth it enough to go?
BarryH
^ don't think USH's Mummy ride is anything spectacular, since USF's version is so much better. Then again, the backwards part is kind of neat.

Gnome
^ Its REALLY GOOD. Like one of the best rides ever built good.
ginzo
I recently went to Universal Hollywood. I don't recommend it. There's basically nothing there. Orlando's Revenge of the Mummy is 100 times better. It's not worth the outrageous admission price, and you'll only get one credit.

Wes
^ All of the above. Completely different layouts, Florida has awesome airtime. Completely different stories and theming: Better effects (real fire!), way better animatronics, the "fake" ending... The only downside to Florida's is that it lacks a real backwards section, but everything else makes up for it in spades.
SharkTums
Florida's has real fire... Florida's has a story... Florida's has a cool fake ending... Hollywood's doesn't. Technically Hollywood's has a backwards section and Florida's really doesn't...but the backwards adds nothing.
laqueefa
thanks all, i guess now i have to save my money for Florida. i had a trip planned and everything but it got canceled on a count of touring. I WISH MY TOUR WAS GOING TO FLORIDA!
ginzo
I also think the coaster part in Orlando is far superior. You can get a pop of airtime in the back seat when you go over the launch hill. Hollywood's version doesn't launch up a hill, and thus has no airtime. And, I agree with Elissa in that the backwards section is pointless. Then again, I'm pretty much against backwards riding in general.
BarryH
I think USH is good for a visit if you've never been. The studio tour is pretty good. USF is a lot better, though.

Jew
To be fair, USH's Mummy isn't a bad ride...it's just not even close to the best ride. There's a lot better and a lot worse out there. It's still fun, but don't go in expecting anything amazing. That pretty much sums up USH too. Nothing that makes you say "WOW," but you can spend a hassle free day (or half a day, or whatever you chose) and still have a fun on some decent attractions and see some decent shows. But at least Hollywood has the better control room, offices, and breakroom...
JT3000
Florida's has a story... Good luck figuring out what it is.
