Six Flags Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 This is truly A-mazing I have never seen such a realistic Knex coaster ever. The supports are what plow me away there so real and the lift is awesome. The first drop seems perfect and butter smooth. The overbank is nuts this coaster is so well built it truly is awesome. I cant wait for more of the track to be done! I really cant
crazyrider06 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 That is hot, i really like it.. ^ u would wanna ride lol
coastermaster07 Posted February 13, 2007 Posted February 13, 2007 thats pretty cool. both of u guys would wanna ride
Jogumpie Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 Are you ready for some airtime? Â Video! Â Â Â
thomas2 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Wow that video was good. The track is very well designed and the train doesn't lose much speed. Â Very good so far. Keep it up!
rollercoasterbuff Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 This is a GREAT ride! I can't wait for the next update! You are very very organized by the looks of it. Everything thing has its own box. That makes it SOO much easier!
jimbobcoaster Posted February 25, 2007 Posted February 25, 2007 Wow, I am really loving this model! The trackwork looks really smooth which I find difficult to do with K'nex. Keep up the great work, I can't wait for the next update!
paulTT Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 wow! great ride. the layout looks pretty interesting. keep it up!
xascher Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Amazing, usually Knex coasters have lost a supreme amount of speed, due to friction, and track bumps, but your design maintains an amazingly accurate scale speed. Kudos!
Six Flags Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I have tryed making a really good roller coaster and its just not easy. So I went and bought coasterdynamix which is much easier (lol) You have some insane skill no speed lose insane smoothness awesome support design and track work. I really will never get over how real this coaster is!! Keep it up!!
Jogumpie Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 Thanks for the comments. I have new pictures from a while ago. Construction has been delayed for a few days/weeks... school is killing me. Â The track has been adjusted a bit after taking these pics, so the straight piece after the turnaround is gone. Â Â Â Â Â
carolinacaniac Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Certainly looking like a great build so far! I would bet that in Intamin made a coaster with the layout you are making it would be a sweet ride! I love the way it goes from an overbank to a twisting turn to a turn in the other direction.
Jogumpie Posted February 28, 2007 Author Posted February 28, 2007 I have been working on the pre-lift section and the hill. I need to get the pre-lift section right before I continue with the main ride. I need to know how high the station has to be. Â Â Â Â Â
xascher Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Amazing! also, since this is a realistic coaster project, I presume. Will you be using some sort of braking system near the end of the ride?
coasterman7 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 I love the video, and the coaster looks very, very realistic. Great Job!!
Vffreak07 Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Is this gonna have a barrel roll or an inline twist like maverick?
Jogumpie Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 ^^^^ Probably. It is also possible the train just runs out of energy on the brake run, without being actually braked. Â ^ Nope. This is an Intamin Megacoaster, so no inversions.
Jogumpie Posted March 2, 2007 Author Posted March 2, 2007 Update. I started on the station and made an overview picture. Â Â Â
Reon Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Looks pretty sweet. I think the finale should dive down from that hill, then helix upwards into the station.
JonathanEColeman Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 I'm very very impressed with this coaster, but god you've got loads of K'nex - I'm a tad jealous!
sixflagsmagicmountain Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Me too, I wish I had enough k'nex to do something like this. I used all mine on making an intamin 1st gen freefall.
