Homer
I am surprised there was not a classic nick topic on here. So, discuss what was once an awesome part of our childhood that is now nothing more but a hole for Spongebob and Dora the Explorer reruns. So, to start this topic off, a classic moment from Kenan and Kel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQFqJx_45bA
the sound
I remember Keanen and Kel. That was a hilarious show. ALthough, i have to say.... GO DIL PICKLES ON RUGRATS ALL GROWN UP! Some of the new stuff is ok.

So, to start this topic off, a classic moment from Kenan and Kel. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQFqJx_45bA Kenan and Kel rocked. My favorite episode was when they turned the store into "Da Bomb" club at night. Also, Kenan's love for Orange Soda was pretty funny too. Other classic/older Nick shows I miss: Salute Your Shorts, GUTS, Legends of the Hidden Temple... wow, come to think of it, Nick's programming has changed A LOT in 10 years or so! -Amanda "I so wanted to be on Guts" V. WillMontu
I have memories of Rugrats (when they were in diapers) Doug Rocko's Modern Life Legends of the Hidden Temple Clarissa Explains It All (though I never really watched it) Pete & Pete GUTS U to U What Would You Do Double Dare/Family Double Dare

spaminacan11
Hey Arnold...I miss that show so much.. Keenan and Kel was awesome too I hate how they replace all the good shows with crap like, Danny Phantom and The Avatar. Nick hasn't gotten that bad..yet. Hopefully it won't pull a Cartoon Network and cut all every good show they can. At least where I live, we get Nick Gas that shows all of the old shows like Double Dare, GUTS, and Legands of the Hidden Temple. Though, all of those are funny to watch because they are so fake, the kids are so weak, and the people are so stupid.
Cameron
No Nick topic may be brought up without a lengthy discussion of "You Can't Do That On Television" .. Come on, fess up .. who had a crush on Alanis?! Cameron.
Masked_Maverick
Pete and Pete man I have the first and second seasons on DVD I am so mad they cacneled season 3. Gotta love Artie The Strongest Man In The World
vjgx
To sum it up, Nickelodeon was only good until it removed shows such as: The Angry Beavers Rocko's Modern Life and pretty much every other semi-controversial show on there... The fact that parents are so worried about influences on kids these days just ruins cartoon channels... Nick came first, but now CN is going in the same direction. Ryan King
Lol! Laura (Spookbaby) And I were JUST talking about this sitting on the break run of Excelerator! Real Monsters was an awesome show...and Are you Afraid of the Dark. Nick just really isnt what it used to be. Dont forget All That and Double Dare! Also..Renn and Stimpy! -Ryan

SharkTums
Hey Dude was great too! My shows that I liked on 'Classic Nick': - Hey Dude - Salute Your Shorts - Out of Control - YCDTOT - Legends of the Hidden Temple - Guts (NOT Global Guts!) - Nick Arcade - Rocko's Modern Life - Angry Beavers - The Adventures of Pete & Pete - Clarissa Explains it All - Secret World of Alex Mack (First season only)
lapseofreason
Guts (NOT Global Guts!) What was wrong with Global Guts? I thought it was cool, at least, to see kids from other countries. (Although the games got stupider as time went on).
ParkTrips
^ there were far too many Jews on Global Guts! I liked Elissa's list, but think that Doug should be included. I also liked Double Dare because, at the time, it was a good trivia show for someone of my age

That was a show I never really got tired of..it was just a whole different kind of show, i really enjoyed it!
Moose
I agree with cameron. How can this thread be about "classic" nick and not be all about You Can't do that on Televison or, to a lesser degree, Double Dare. Was pinwheel & today's special on nick? These are the shows that put Nick on the Map. Oh, and i swear my sn isnt because of Moose on YCDTOT
Homer
there were far too many Jews on Global Guts! I swear, there was at least one kid from Israel every other episode. I seriously always wanted to climb the Aggro-Crag though. Another show I really liked was Hey Arnold. I recently watched the Christmas episode again and many things slipped over my mind. It was actually a well-written and sad episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RQU77htSA4U -Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7GzGWJMVmI -2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SPrAGZGFnac -
jynx242
- all about You Can't Do That on Television - that was totally one of my favorite shows. And Moose, yes - Pinwheel was on Nick. Actually, wasn't there a character on YCDToT named Moose? David
Cameron
^ Yeah .. she was the host for most of the run. Apparently she was quite the rocker chick, with bright pink hair and all (she wore a wig on the show). Another amazing Nick show (though much more recent): Invader Zim. Cameron. Moose
Actually, wasn't there a character on YCDToT named Moose? Yup, that's why i said: Oh, and i swear my sn isnt because of Moose on YCDTOT Here is her bio from their site Christine McGlade (I swear i didn't know her name, i just googled it)

niiicolaaah
Are You Afraid of the Dark? GUTS Legends of the Hidden Temple Salute Your Shorts (my favorite!) Hey, Dude! Ren & Stimpy (I remember the very first nicktoons, wasn't it like Rugrats, Doug, and Ren & Stimpy?) Rocko's Modern Life All the stuff they have now sucks... except Spongebob. I mean, I'm a grouchy clarinet player, so I totally identify with Squidward.
weeow
I used to be able to watch some of the old Nick game shows. Some of them were lame. Doug was so awesome! I remember they used to show it on Toon Disney.
DenDen
OK, this will freak out all the YCDTOT fans.... http://www.ycdtotv.com/ I found this a couple years ago looking for answers to a trivia question. And yes, Allanis Moreset is on here! Other shows on nick.... -Going Great, with Chris Megpeace (There's an actor that was in everything in the early 80's, then died off!) -The Third Eye -Clarissa -Don't Just Sit There -Livewire -NickNews -Out of Control -Sprots Cartoon (which was before they played commercials, they played these small cartoon shorts between shows, since the regular shows were only 24 minutes commercial free.)
