I am just wondering what in your mind is the worst movie you have ever seen. I know mine is The Phantom of The Opra that came out this year. I thought it might be a horror film at first but then my brother saw on IMDB.com that it was a musical, which I can usually sit through. But then again I only had seen one at the time. We saw it anyway and we suffered for the whole movie after paying $32.00 for the whole group which only one of us liked. (Not in my family!)

I can actually go on for a while but just to name a few,

Spice World-... no explanation needed

Shark tale- just couldn't get into it

Triple X state of the union- horrible acting/ impossible stunts

187- just an all around bad movie

Glitter-mariah carey.... enough said

You've been served- nice dancing horrible plot and acting

Fat Albert- just not good

Garfield the Movie- waste of 3.95 for the rental

Moulin Rouge - Once they started singing Smells like Teen Spirit I was out

XXX - The first one sucked ass, who would have thought the sequel would suck ass too

I'm sure there are more, but I can't think of any right now ... I'm hella tired.

The Hulk: Soooooo much wasted potential

Troy: An innacurate retelling of the Illiad featuring Brad Pitt's stale acting and naked ass...I wish I'd passed on this one in the theaters.

Rocky V: So awful it killed the franchise.

Alien Ressurection: To borrow a line from Syndrome "Lame, lame, lame, lame, LAME!"

How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days: Or as I called it in a review for the college paper, "How to lose your lunch in two hours" (A line Gene Shallit stole from me later )

Not Another Teen Movie: A toilet crashing through a ceiling and spilling crap on everybody is funny because?...This was easily the most nauseating "comedy" I've ever seen.

Recently, it would be either one of the Charlie's Angels movies, or Scooby Doo. I attempted to watch these on various late nights on HBO and chose infomercials instead pretty quickly...

^Me too!! I don't know what it is, but I could watch that guy forever on late summer nights. I don't know if it's the cheesy lines or the ridiculously good looking food, but it's something!

Dawn of the Dead, the remake. Besides having a bad story line, it has such incredibly pointless nudity scenes that it leaves guys pointing out how pointless the nudity scenes are.

I agree with Wes. I totally did not 'get' what everybody was raving about. It had some slight chuckles, but that was about it. Completely pointless if you ask me.

A few others:

Elektra - Not even Jennifer Garner could save this movie

Closer - Not even Natalie Portman could save this movie

Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow - After the ooohs and aaahs of the graphics, realized there was no point

^ I'm in the camp that Napoleon Dynamite was one of the most god-awful disasters I've ever seen. I'm not going to launch into a page long diatribe against it simply because I have better things to do than write about sh*t movies that I hate. But the movie makes me really angry, and it's popularity confounds me.

Alright, I was afraid to admit this at first...but my worst movies of the last year (meaning movies that I could barely finish watching) are Napoleon Dynamite and Team America.

I know I'm in the minority...but...ugh...

^ See Elissa ... here we thought that the four of us were the only ones who didn't like Napoleon Dynamite ...

I remember talking to Robb while you guys were watching it and him asking me if there was a point to it ... In a word ... No ...

Ahhh, where to begin, where to end. After just coming off the TV some hours ago, watching The Matrix: Revolutions allmost takes the cake. The slowmotion shot of Neos fist connecting to Smiths chin and the following sequence was so bad it could've made me hate even the Lord of the Rings had a similar scene been included. Best laugh ever though.

I agree on Titanic. Doesn't is just seem weird when you know the ending. "We struck an iceberg! I bet no one saw that coming!"

Any movie in the same lane as "Nothing Hill", which I had the displeasure to watch recently. All of them. No exceptions.

The Incredibles after being voice synched into Danish. If you told me that such awful voices were to be found on danish soil before I had to sustain two hours of that, I'd have thought it a lie. But that's not Pixars fault. Go Pixar!

The Ring .... *Vomits* ... it makes no sense and is terribly lame. A girl's mom kills her in a well, girls soul gets on to a tape .... girl kills people a week after they watch it .... please.

^ Why are you looking for plausibility in a supernatural horror movie plot? I'm not saying The Ring is far from a cinematic masterpiece, but the concept is interesting enough.

I didnt like napolean dynamite, but i have a feeling that if i watch it again i'd like it..because since i saw that movie i've seen 'freddy got fingred', 'team america', and 'harold and kumar....." do i think that i'd get the humor now since i liked those other movies i mentioned

I could say the same sort of thing to you about Napoleon Dynamite but I don't because I respect people's opinions. Not everyone is going to like everything and they don't have to have some reason why.

^ That was passive agressive. Yeesh. I was just wondering about why you felt that way about The Ring and possibly not other movies from the same genre. No reason to treat it as a knock, believe me.
