Rhythm Heaven Fever is the best feel-good game I have ever played, and I am now obsessed with it. That is all.

Beat Fire Sanctuary on Hero Mode. Superpowered sword beam for the win. Now, I just have the four songs to get and then I'll leave the world in utter peril until I can find every single little secret that the game has to offer.

Finally got the Hylian Shield on hero mode. Lightning round is HARD, and the first few battles always seem to be the repeat fights. Like the one I got the shield on for example. Not in the actual order.

-Imprisoned 1

-Imprisoned 2

-Imprisoned 3

-Ghirahim 1

-Ghirahim 2

-Ghirahim 3

-Scaldera

-Tentalus

These bosses continually showed up in the lightning round. One time, I got unlucky and the horde was selected for battle 8.

It's funny. Tentalus is actually easier in hero mode than it is in the regular quest.

Now to get the last seven pieces of heart, then enter Sky Keep.

On a less serious note, here's a comprehensive guide to Skyward Sword.

Step 1:Obtain Shield

Step 2:Shield Bash, Shield Bash, Shield Bash, Shield Bash.

Starting to get back into my 3DS again...almost through Super Mario 3D Land...definitely one of the easier games in the franchise...then again, it would take one hell of a game to get near the awesome yet insanely frustrating levels of Super Mario Galaxy on a handheld. I do like this game a lot, especially since each level has it's own little "theme" to it. Each level is distinctively different from one another.

Still slogging through OoT3D and Mario Kart 7 is proving to be the best game in the Mario Franchise (besides Double Dash). Blue Shells have once again become ridiculously overpowered, and are an instant race changer.

I went over to a friend's house yesterday and got all the way through Skyward Sword's Fire Temple...I dunno...after seeing overall Zelda franchise, and how surprisingly color/dark the way Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Track were done...I honestly wasn't a fan of Skyward Sword. Don't get me wrong, it does readily improve every major Zelda feature...but..

I dunno. It just didn't click for me. It felt too "happy" I guess is the word. WW, PH, and ST combined equal amounts out darkness, humor, and happiness. Skyward Sword felt like a "Disneyfied Fairytale". It's fun to watch, but there's all charm and no edge. Like they took out all the darker elements and replaced them with happiness. That's what I've always loved about the Zelda Franchise since I first played Ocarina of Time over a decade ago. It's always managed to keep happiness and a bit of edge... Plus they added several obnoxious over-complicating aspects I'd like to see them get rid of...

I think it may be the art style that contributes to this...and as much as I loved the game...it was just too happy...

Now I'm debating on whether or not to open my copy of the game (which I vowed not to open until I beat Twilight Princess). It's the special edition with the Golden Wiimote. I may just keep it a few years they sell it if the prices go up high enough. If not, eh, it's a collectible. I'm very much looking forward to see what Nintendo will do with the Wii U...graphic wise it had better blow us out of the waterX10 if it wants to get anywhere near the popularity the original Wii had.

Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, and Spirit Tracks are all brighter games than Skyward Sword. But what does it matter? Zelda's always been about gameplay. The story is just an added bonus.

Taking a pause from Skyrim at the moment (probably going to pick up on it this weekend), I decided to try a game I have not played yet, looking for a fresh experience in the Zelda franchise...being Majora's Mask. Such an odd title that initially felt out of place when I started it but has started to grow on me. While I was initially let down by the main overworld size, feeling like the game was a quick 'throw together', I'm now seeing how large each of the 4 sections are to get to their temples. Granted, I'm only on my way to the Woodfall temple right now.

Watching Link transform into a Deku Scrub is creepy, right down to his moan/scream.

I feel like I'm the only person who does not like Majora's Mask.

I absolutely adore the visuals of Skyward Sword. SO FREAKING COLORFUL. I love Super Mario Galaxy/2 and Kirby's Return to Dream Land for the same reason. My family has one of those Sharp Quattron televisions (with RGBY color), and all four games look fantastic.

As for the difficulty of Super Mario 3D Land, it's relatively easy through the first eight worlds. Then, things get a bit difficult afterward, especially when you attempt to collect star medals.

I have a question for all 3DS users just out of curiosity. I know they warn you that playing and looking at the screen too long will make you nauseous. Is that true? I don't plan on getting one, I'm just curious.

Posted

^ It probably depends on how prone you are to motion sickness. I'm guessing that because you're an amusement park enthusiast, you wouldn't have any problems. Some people with severe cases get dizzy or nauseous from playing regular, non-3D games also. I'm guessing that warning is more there for liability reasons, like the seizure warnings.

Anyway, a few days ago I bought a Nintendo 64 off Ebay. I traded mine in years and years ago and have regretted it ever since. I can't wait until it gets here!

I find the problem with the 3DS is you have to use it in a sweet spot all the time. You have to look at it dead on, and if you slip a bit everything goes blurry. So I find it can be tiring holding it in one spot so long.

However that's only in a bit of experience, since my 3DS has mostly sat on my desk since I got it.

The 3D doesn't even work if you're wearing glasses either (at least for me). I keep the 3D completely off all the time and I get great battery life.

You guys should all download and play The Stanley Parable. It's a Half-Life 2 mod, but to my understanding, you don't even need a Source engine game to play it; it installs a proper version of the engine with the mod itself. So for those unlucky few that have never played a Valve game (L4D, HL2, TF2, Portal, etc), you're not left out.

It's not quite a game, but more of a short exploration of choice and freedom in interactive storytelling. It's only five to ten minutes long, which is a good thing, since you will want to experiment with choice. And it will blow your mind.

And it's free and legal and safe. That's always a plus.

Digging through my stuff, having an urge to play a Pokemon game, was trying to find Diamond version. Instead, I came across my copy of Pokemon Red...and just finding the Gameboy SP and charger, I think it's time to relive this classic.

Yea, that's how we do it! BTW, you know you're a coaster nerd when....(see photo)

Playing my way through Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas right now (first time ever). I swear, it features some of the most evil, ludicrous, repetitive, annoying, frustrating, and downright idiotic game mechanics and missions ever...but I love it.

Currently experiencing the Pokemon urge again...Started playing some Pokemon HeartGold today. G/S were my favorites of the series outside of the original red as once you got the 8 badges and defeated the league, you got to go back to the original side and had 8 more gyms waiting for you. Sure there's not as much quests on that side but being able to visit the old area was sweet. I was tempting to name my character Bolliger and the antagonist Mabillard...but also stuck with the Vekoma/Intamin name due the the 7 character limit...maybe I'll name each of my 6 pokemon after the rest of the manufacturers since they can hold up to 10 characters.

Just Pre-ordered my copies of Animal Crossing 3DS, Paper Mario 3DS, Luigi's Mansion 2" and Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance.

It's going to be a great year for the 3DS.

Dream Drop distance will automatically become the best KH game because The World Ends With You is in it. No exceptions. No valid arguments can dispute this point.

Needless to say I'm very excited for all 4!

Need for speed is my favorite video game. It is called as NFS too. It is a racing kind of game and i play the racing games very much. The graphics and programming of the game is very nice.

Welp, the reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 has been released.

To be completely honest, as much as I dislike Call of Duty and Activision, I can't help but be intrigued. This has the potential to put an interesting new spin on the all-too-tired formula that has stagnated since CoD4 perfected it. It looks incredibly stupid and Michael Bay-esque, but fun and silly at the same time.

But then again, I said nearly the same thing about Black Ops' reveal trailer. I guess we'll just have to wait until gameplay footage comes out.

I agree, after not even bothering Modern Warfare 3 I thought I was done with this franchise (though I still play the previous Black Ops quite a bit), but I gotta admit that I'm liking this. And from what they've said about the major changes to the storyline style and structure, I'm even more interested. I'm hoping Treyarch pulls through on this, as it'd be nice to see this franchise come back from the current "meh" sinkhole it's stuck in.

Still plugging away with Heartgold. Now at the Pokemon league. Also just uncovering my Action Replay and my old DS, I decided to catch some Mews. 2 of my Mews will be my "HM Slaves" and will take on all the HM moves so the rest of my party can freely learn other moves as they level up.

Once I teach the Mews their HMs, my party will be the following:

Feraligatr - LV45

Magneton - LV43

Red Gyrados - LV44

Ho-Oh - LV 46

Mew (HM Slave 1): LV34

Mew (HM Slave 2): LV34

I'll need to level up both Mews quite a bit but will be pretty well rounded. I have a 3rd Mew that may specialize in something else but I'm not quite sure what types of moves I want it to learn yet.

I'm strongly thinking of picking up Pokemon Black, despite what one of my friends told me. I've played a little bit of it (just the introductory stuff) and think its time to buy a copy of the game as I don't want to spoil any surprises or any of the plot.
