SharkTums Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I'm sure that Colossus, Psyclone, Ghostrider and Giant Dipper will have a huge impact on my ballot! Only on the bottom portion of it!
DailyBugle_JL Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 That was easy since ive only ridden 3-4 worthwile wooden coasters, 14 days until the steel comes out. That ones alot harder to do.
Hercules Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 You know what is really easy? Having my ballot from last year saved and only riding 3 new wood coasters this year.
jjeerr Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Heck ya! Bottom 2! (and I've only been on 5). California: home of the world's worst wooden coasters.
niiicolaaah Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 OK guys, I have a question - What the heck do I do with the line that says "favorite steel, any park anywhere"??
ParkTrips Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 You do nothing to the name, but it still should be ranked with a number. remember to change the n's to y's
niiicolaaah Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 So, does this mean I am ranking my favorite steel coaster along with all the wood ones? For example, My favorite steel - y, y, 2 Mean Streak - y, n, 1 Colossus - y, y, 3
ParkTrips Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Yup! And you'll do the same for "my favorite wood" in the steel poll, just a wild card likely used to judge where enthusiasts stand in the wood vs steel thing
SharkTums Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Exactly...for example here's mine: COASTER NAME PARK LOC <--Please leave this Balder Liseberg SE,y,y,1 My Favorite Steel Anypark Anywhere **,y,n,2 Phoenix Knoebel's PA,y,n,3 etc. I have Balder at #1, my favorite Steel (XGeForce) at #2, and Phoenix at #3
niiicolaaah Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks you two! I just wanted to make sure I was doing it right. I'm one of those annoying kids in class who asks 47 billion questions. I am about to submit... it's easy when you only have ridden 30 wood coasters! (And Elissa, that's my top 3 too, except with a different steelie in the middle! )
DerekRx Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Elissa and my top 3 is the same. I think I deserve some sort of award for that If I DID impregnate her, there's like a 100% chance that KidTums would vote the same way in 9 years.
Homer Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I just copied my 2005 ballot over and edited the changes in word to say 2006. That and I added one more wooden credit to my ballot (Twister II, ). A quick 5 minutes for me (and I guess Herc too).
SharkTums Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Well Nicole...don't forget, Derek did grab MY hand at Coney Beach! Isn't that how Kif got pregnant on Futurama???
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I heard you could get pregnant from sitting on a chair after someone else sat on it that had baby lust. Jesus Christ! That means that I could have 1000s of illegitimates running around out there. But, back on topic. Wood coaster poll.
robbalvey Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 I just copied my 2005 ballot over and edited the changes in word to say 2006. That and I added one more wooden credit to my ballot (Twister II, ). A quick 5 minutes for me (and I guess Herc too). You made sure to change the woodies that you rode this year versus last year, right? Unless of course you rode all the exact same woodies this year that you rode last year. --Robb
Guy T. Koepp Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Robb, What is the sygnificance of verifying that you rode that coaster in this calander year? Does that make any substantial difference in the outcome? Is this a real stupid question? Coaster porn or Porncoaster?
DATman Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Sent mine in! It was definitely a lot easier than I had thought it would be, so props to Mitch for making an easy, yet accurate, poll. ^Pornocoaster.

SharkTums Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 ^^Yes Guy it's important. His formula takes that into account when determining position. Think about it, the person who rated Ghostrider at #1 but hasn't ridden it since '99 won't count as much as the rest of us who rode it this year and ranked it towards the bottom! Hope this makes sense!
downunder Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Also be careful not to make the mistake I did which was change the rode this year to Y for my new credits but I forgot to put Y in the rode at all column but I am sure his program can handle that, I hope, because I want my vote on El Toro to count. It will be interesting to see the outcome of the stoush between El Toro and The Voyage.
the sound Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 I sent mine in. And while i did , i realised: " I havn't been on many Wooden COatsers!"

SharkTums Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Yeah, I think that Holiday World has a lot more fanboys than SFGAd...or at least fanboys that know how to read and write!
