Wes Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I dunno, I heard it has a hunchback that sings and stuff.
thomas2 Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Well if you're talking about the disney movie: I don't think it's overrated If you're talking about the cathedral in Paris: totally overrated! It's not nicer than others, it's even incomplete! I was totally dissapointed.
AndrewCT Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I agree, they are really overated. There football team isn't what it used to be. And they aren't the best educational institution in my mind. I looked into going there, but decided to save my money and go to UCONN. But that's if we are talking about the school.. if we are talking about the movie, than no. Anyone with a deformed body is cool with me.
Sir Clinksalot Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 I agree with Joey. I mean, they had a good season last year, but look at their schedule. One of the easiest in College Football. Let's not forget they got their asses kicked in the Fiesta Bowl by Ohio State. So let's put them at #2. Whut-ever.
ParkTrips Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 not as much as the yankees. damn my thread being locked =( Ca't wait to see ND lose on Saturday...
Hercules Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Yeah, what the hell. The Yankees suck thread got locked and now this one is still up? Though, I completely agree with the thread.
FeelTheFORCE Posted August 31, 2006 Posted August 31, 2006 Yes i agree, they are WAY overrated, same goes for the Yankees and the Bengals.
Jew Posted September 2, 2006 Author Posted September 2, 2006 Joe: saw this earlier... "What do the Fighting Irish and Marijuana have in common? They both get smoked in a bowl." Q: Why are they planning to resurface Notre Dame Stadium with cardboard? A: Because the Irish always play better on paper.
Erik Johnson Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 not as much as the yankees. damn my thread being locked =( Ca't wait to see ND lose on Saturday... Now that you got " special powers", you can unlock that Yankees thread if you want to.
mcjaco Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 not as much as the yankees. damn my thread being locked =( Ca't wait to see ND lose on Saturday... Oops. No loss. Not a good looking win though.
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 They aren't getting past Penn State Not if they play the way they played against GA Tech. I was surprised to see both USC and TX leap-frog them in the standings, but it was funny.
Hercules Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 How was that surprising? They looked horrible. PS who? PSU!
Sir Clinksalot Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 ^ Because the pollsters will always give ND the benefit of any doubt because they are Notre Dame.
Hercules Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 That is definately true. They were ranked when they had, what was it, 5 losses a few year ago? They were in like the top 20!!! I have no reference for that, but I do remember something like that a decade or so ago.
stingrock23 Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 done and done. Notre Dame is the most overrated team in the country. They're not that good, they don't play a killer schedule, and they get all this media hype b.s. Stick them in the SEC and watch them lose 3 games. They don't deserve s---. The same goes for Cal, who got smashed by Tennessee, and the rest of the Pac 10. I'll leave the Pac-10 at that because Joey and I have had enough of that argument over at Westcoaster, but Notre Dame doesn't deserve to be in the top 10. They're 0-8 in their last 8 bowl games for crying out loud. It's just a complete joke. College rankings shouldn't come out until October, once we get an idea of how good or bad teams actually are.
Jew Posted September 7, 2006 Author Posted September 7, 2006 Stick them in the SEC and watch them lose 3 games. The only thing more over rated than Notre Dame is the SEC. But hey, at least only two of the SEC's ranked teams scheduled D-IAA teams this year. (Oh, and for the record: Notre Dame sucks so much they didn't even need to be in a conference to lose 3 games) Oh well...at least neither the PAC-10 or the SEC are as weak as the Big East or the ACC (Where a team that was 8-5 last year is the defending champion).
stingrock23 Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 Oh well...at least neither the PAC-10 or the SEC are as weak as the Big East or the ACC (Where a team that was 8-5 last year is the defending champion). You said that right. I'm gonna bite my tongue on the SEC, it will only end in a flaming war, and I've already had enough of that. Wonder what Erik has to say about the SEC.
